Good morning FABO, I will be getting my Duster back from the body shop very soon, i was hopeing that you guys could post up some pics of the black out area behind the grill. I am fully aware of how the factory did this but im looking for an over restored look compared to the sloppy factory look...
Dana, im in the middle of this project also, i drilled the hole but cant seem to start the zerk. Do you have any advice for me? did you press it in or did you tap the hole....
I would suggest putting everything on the fire wall like the brake lines and wiper motor and the master cylinder. Its easier now, you wont have to reach over the 340...Good luck with your build....Rich
Good morning, just wanted to thank everyone for their responses and pictures, it is very much appreciated. Im going to try and find a paint to mimic the phosphate , any suggestions?
i just took the one off my 73 Duster and on the backside where it screws into the hood there is zero corrosion and its real shiny metal, almost like a zinc brightness to it.
maybe different years used different finishes?
there is no signs of black phosphate on this original one owner 73...
