The '65 has cable linkage, the '66 has mechanical linkage. Two completely different transmissions and linkages, not much of anything interchanges that will be of use to you. Best bet for you would be to get a '66 steering column and shift linkage and swap that in, or an aftermarket floor...

I've heard at least 2 different stories- The spokes were too fragile and would shear in an impact, impaling the driver... And The gap in the spokes was too wide and easily captured your fingers when turning the wheel. Not sure I believe either one, though.

Assuming you have the large bolt circle (5x4.5) and not the small bolt circle (5x4). Also assuming that you're replacing a 7.25 rear. 8.75 will be small bolt circle unless it has aftermarket axles, was installed in A bodies late '65-'72. ($$) Bolts in with the right shock plates and u bolts...

Gunslinger (now owned by Brewer's) used to offer an adapter to use the Pistol Grip in an A body console, but hasn't been available in a while. Last I heard, Brewer's was considering a fresh run if there was enough interest? Otherwise, it really wouldn't be too hard to fab one yourself.
