I have both 915 J heads and 587 Heads with 1.88/1.60
valves.
I recommend the 915 J heads because the 587 I run across
often are cracked between intake and exhaust valve seats or
Exhaust valve to spart plug hole. They generally do not ever leak
but the cracks make me nervous especially if I am putting a lot of
time and money in them.
