Old style crager wheels and tires fir my duster. Opinion needed

fyi, watch the selection on front 14" hoops as that not all of them fit disc brakes-- OE or aftermarket. and i'll echo what was said up thread. tire selection for 14's is booty. in 15" you at least have a fighting chance.

20 yr old BFG's? no wonder you can spin the tires thru three gears! :p

absolutely. the car is literally sitting 20ft from my desk, so if you need anything measured let me know and i'll be happy to help.

    Another front wheel size thread

i'm working on the *assumption* that the track width is the same with the wilwoods as it is with factory discs. and if so, then you'd be tight, tight with a 225, even on 4.25BS if you're low. but if you aren't low, and don't have wheel lip molding, and have some decent t-bars... as long as you...

    Another front wheel size thread

on my 69 i'm set up with 73~76 in the front and got cop wheels with 215/65-15's and it's close at the top lip-- like special care when turning into a driveway close. but i am also lower than stock. cop wheels are 15X7 4.25BS if you're not much lower than stock, mayyyybbeee you'll just squeak by.

Replacement drums and hubs for 1969 Dart with 5x4.5 lugs?

i meant specifically for the KH styled BBP swap. i understand that there are aftermarket kits that fit any kind of brake spindles

Replacement drums and hubs for 1969 Dart with 5x4.5 lugs?

would still need the 67 and down disc spindles to make that happen.

Replacement drums and hubs for 1969 Dart with 5x4.5 lugs?

as covered no BBP a-body drums, so you'll need to convert to discs. your choices are: stock 73~76 upper control arm, spindle & related parts (master cyl and plumbing bits), or an upper ball joint adapter to reuse the small upper ball joint arm with the 73~76 spindle. on the lower control arm...

    Taller Tires Needed

you'd need a 30 toofs gear. here's the info courtesy of brewers: Brewer's Performance - Mopar A833 4-Speed Transmission and Component Specialists the gears come up here used frequently, and you can find them easily on the web. i know brewers lists them. i don't have one or i'd totally hook...

    Taller Tires Needed

when you install the speedo cable it might be a good time to make sure you've got the right speedo pinion for the tire. 3.73 w/ 26" is a 38 (with a 27" is 36) here's a wild theory though... is your tach the type that has multiple cyl settings and maybe it got bumped to 4 or 6 cyl and you're...

Questions about converting from 13in to 15in 68 valiant

on stock rims 15X7 4.24BS 205's will fit easily, as will 215's up front you *might* be able to squeak in 225's if you keep the profile(aspect ratio) low and don't lower the front end considerably. you *may* have to slightly trim the lower front corner of the fender for clearance. out back...

A-Body 1968 Barracuda / disc brake spindles which tyres will fit better

on my 69 fastback i have 73+ discs w/ factory cop wheels (4.25 BS) and run 215's up front and they only rub the top of the fender on very hard turns, such as into a driveway and only if i'm going too fast. everywhere else they clear fine. also, my car is very low in the front. 225's are likely...

What size tire on a 15x4 inch rim ?

i know a lot of people run 205's on 4" rims i just wouldn't try and do it with a super short sidewall like 50 or 55 series.

    68 Barracuda Front Tires/Wheels/Offset

you'd probably have a lot more luck if you were more specific in your request. hey guys, i've seen these wheels [insert picture] is anybody running them on a 68 cuda up front? can you tell me more about your set up? or, i like this style wheel [insert picture] can anybody tell me what it's...

14" Lug spacing 66 Cuda vs 67 Cuda

the lugs just stick through, they do not hold the cap on in any manner. some aftermarket lugs might be too thick walled and have too large of a diameter to fit, especially when converted to 1/2" studs. so verify before kicking down for 20 of 'em

    Tire age

iirc, the subsequent investigation found that the tires on the car were something like double the recommended age for the car. naturally they tried to go after the shop that had last worked on it (the old "ever since..." rule) but supposedly they had paperwork backing up the notation and...

    Tire age

the universe spoke to you and it said: show your lady some love, oh and put some llantas on the missus ride too! hopefully it was limited to just the inconvenience of having a flat the quick way and nothing more!

    Tire age

i tend to follow mfgr's recommendation on tires, which some list 6yrs and others 10yrs as maximum service life. i'll go for 10 but if i'm having traction problems at 6 years, then so be it. if you're experiencing loss of traction, then regardless of them passing the eye test i'd be fibbing if i...

    Police Wheel (15x7)

the 15X7 loosie i have here is 27lb 72blu posted up the weights of his aftermarket set ups (18's or 19's i think) and even with some big ol meats they were considerably lighter than the stock rim bare.

    Police Wheel (15x7)

you're right. i went back with a proper straight edge and not a shitty tape measure. can't blame beer or being tired on this one. mea culpa. oh and it was actually 4 5/16, but given the production tolerances they call it 4 1/4

    Police Wheel (15x7)

the one i have sitting here is 4.5" 4.25" if it matters it's stamped 3766077 at the stem ETA: i was wrong 72blu was correct it's 4.25. it would help if i used a proper measuring equipment.

powder coated satin black cop wheels with dog dish caps. cooper cobras with the blackwalls out, 215/65's up front, 235/60's out back ETA: didn't see you were moving the springs. i guess go a litte bigger in the back, but i'd leave the front the same

    Wheel, tire,offset?

there's still lots of options at 15" but getting exactly what you want size/performance/looks wise at a price you can swallow is a little bit of juggling act, so expect a compromise somewhere. going to 17 increases tire choices, but may not be the look you want. it's probably a straight across...
