Memike, does this distributor cap accept the old large plug wire boots or the newer small boots? Is the distributor a P number distributor?

It depends on what it is in and what trans it has. The automatic cars don't get the same mileage. I got between 17 and 22 MPG with an 84 /6 4 speed truck. I've had a /6 auto 72 Scamp that only got 14 MPG.

I think the only year for the aluminum block /6 was 62. A friend of mine had a 62 Lancer GT with the aluminum block. It had no problems and was never touched. He had another 62 Lancer sedan with the same engine and it too was a gem. They weren't as bad as you think. I guess it all depends on how...
