    Valve adjustment.......

I set mine at ambient temp of ~70*F. That way I can take all day, it don't matter if I a take lunch break in between. The magic numbers for me have always been .013 and .023 Too tight on the exhaust usually makes mine run funny. Like herky-jerky, but, Mine is 9.5Scr with a bit of a cam, lol.

    Non A-body mopar question

In my 55 years of street driving, I've had quite a few cars with 7.25s/and autos and have never even hurt one of them. One of them even had a high-pressure, 340-2bbl with headers. Now transmissions, those I have blown up.

Massive caster variance Side to side

I won't pretend to know your problem(s), but like Rusty, I spent many years doing alignments in a tireshop. So I can tell you how to figure it out, hopefully in the least frustrating way. Here goes. I always check the CASTER first at Zero-CAMBER. Caster you know, so lets look at camber. In...

    Speedo gears

I switched from a 150 speed-O to a 120, just to get the better graduations. I used the same transmission Speed-O gear. However, I have seen cables be a problem in the transmission of the "signal".

    Hi

Hi, back, nice car. I got my Driver's license in 69. My Second Mopar was a 65 V100 station wagon. and, I have had a 64 Barracuda, as well; as numerous other 67>80, A and F cars. I bet in the past 50 years, I have seen about every problem that could possible "pop up", in those cars. IDK if I...

    clutch fan won't fit

Just so you know, for future reference; I have a 367/4-speed in my 68 Barracuda, that by it's trapspeed of 93 in the Eighth, is making 430 hp. The rad is an ancient one that I pulled from a 73Dart with a 318 with A/C. That would make it a 26" 2-row. I installed it into the original slant-6 core...

    Question about splash shields

I've never seen a plastic one, not that I've taken that many cars apart, lol

    What parts are gold-plated?

    How to fix steering slop?

With the engine not running, that is normal. Start it up and test it again. You can Modify that box to make it better but, you cannot eliminate it, because the boost control valve needs some rotation to activate the Power-Piston.

    Monthly internet connection costs. Question?

Internet, TV, and landline; $165C per month. Yeah I'm retired too, and I feel it; so, I farm out my skills, for eggs, milk, and bread. I don't smoke nor drink, and my hotrod is parked, so, we're getting by.

    273 Rocker on 340

Which cam? IMO; running just 160 psi with the alloy heads, would be a gross unfairness to them, as would running less lift than at least what the Edelbrock springs are capable of. As to the 718001 cam; Installed with an Ica of 68* the V/P ratio is predicted to be 126, about the same as a 5.2...

    5.9 magnum and the ax15

@Newbomb Turk Is that a race car then? or a two-cylinder? or a 6000 pound barge? I ran that 15/1 for a few weeks and couldn't stand it. A decent hi-pressure 360 like mine hardly cares anywhere between 9 to 11. I prefer a 10/1 cuz I don't have to shift 2 car-lengths out, in town. I actually ran...

Small block headers: worst to best fitting. List your experience.

And on that note, my Nickle-plated TTI's fit pretty good. 360/A833, p/s, pdb, 68 Barracuda with a 70 Duster K, and 73 steering, on the 70 biscuits with the spool mount at the back. Initially, I used the Mopar starter, but when it died, I switched to the Dakota ministarter. and I do not use the...

    5.9 magnum and the ax15

Even the Mopar 3.09 is a bit much for anything over 3.55s, unless you have an engine with a really sucked out bottom end. I mean I really enjoy my 11/1 starter gear because with 185psi CCP, it's a dump-it-and-go deal; but really, it's way more starter than I need. On the other hand, a 4/1 low...

    5.9 magnum and the ax15

Just so you know; the stock 5.9 has more than enough grunt to run any A833 4-speed, with any rear gear, in any A-body; and there are 4 SBM ratios to chose from. ...... and they fit like a glove ...... and on the street, they scoff at 450 ftlbs...
