Massive caster variance Side to side

FWIW...I have the bubble gauge as shown above but instead of Longacre Racing on it, mine says Joe's Racing Products. Same gauge! I used several heavy thick plastic garbage bags folded over a few times as my turning plates. (They worked well as you could turn my manual steer avatar car with...

And then he must have gone 1500 miles south to my place to see if he could scare the Demons. This dude gets around!!

Cost for labor on stroker build?

Big fan of strokers! Spend the coin - you would not regret it. The torque they make is incredible!! Can't really use it on the street as it's just a smoke show if you hammer it. But they are quite the hoot for sure. As for cost, aside from the crank/rods/pistons, they are no different...

Small block headers: worst to best fitting. List your experience.

Avatar car has the 5204 Hookers. 1-3/4" tube and spark plug access is direct and very simple for all of them. As mentioned, they can challenge you to get them on but once on, they fit well. Car is street-driven some but not a daily driver so ground clearance has not been an issue.

Rewire 67 Dart GT - need recommendations - what's best?

I think you are correct. He makes a lot of harnesses but not all. Just have to call and ask him. Good guy to talk with!

Rewire 67 Dart GT - need recommendations - what's best?

I 2nd Evans Wiring Harnesses. I've said it before and will repeat it that if he makes it, this is the place to go. His engine harness for my 71 Demon was 100% spot on to the original. And you have your choice of electronic ignition or not. I've used his stuff on others and had the same...

    Turning torque for engine

You may have more room than you think. I had something like 3-1/4" from the water pump snout to the back of my Champion radiator on the avatar. I wasn't sure what I was going to do given such a small amount of space. One thing in your favor is the water pump snout does not fit up against the...

Getting fed up of high-perf , being happy with less

I'm that guy described above that built the car he wanted in his teens but couldn't afford back then. Yep, that's the avatar. Only gripe is the door bars make it hard to get in and out of but so long as I can, it's a riot to drive and I really enjoy it. If I do get to where the door bars...

oil filters what do u use and why

Something to think about: the OEM's do all of their development and testing using their own branded filters. So the relief valve settings, case thickness, filtration needs, etc are all correct for the engines the filters go on. Aftermarket filters do not get that luxury. The video portrays...

    CVF Alternator running hot

^^^^Good to go from rear of head to a nut welded to the frame. Another member on here gave me that idea. Takes the guesswork out of it!
