Sooo...it was the throttle linkage cable. Now, I just have to figure wheter to replace the cable or get it unstuck.
Thanks for the help everybody!
Edit: Adjusted the throttle cable from this bolt and now the problem is fixed.
I have a Carter bbs carburetor and for some reason when it switches from fast idle to normal idle, the rpm does not drop. Looking at the screws closer I noticed that the idle screw is not even touching anything. Screwing it whole way in does not help either.
What could be the reason?
Thanks! I guess I'm luck that my old man was always the cheap sort and never changed a thing in the car...
I just wish that these things wouldn't rot so easily here in north. So jelous of some of the cars I've seen here with the orignal paint and no rust.
Thanks! It was nice to find this forum since the local community is quite small and in-active.
In fact, there was only ~100 registered Valiants/Dusters in the entire country last year..
Hello everybody! Great to join this community.
Got my old man's car just last fall and started working on it this spring.
He got it new and drove it until 2011. Since then it sat in his garage.
Looking forward to get into the world of A-bodies with this beauty and contribute to this forum!
