Cost for labor on stroker build?

Probably $1500- 2000, depending on how much work is needed. That was boil block, install cam brgs, freezeout plugs, balance lower end, and clearance block for stroker crank and hone cylinders. Block was already bored 30 over, so just honed sleeves.

    Unknown electrical component

He doesn't say what year 360, but it probably came with that motor.

    Edelbrock AirGap question

To add another point, pun intended, to the discussion. I had a 55 Chevy with a 265 and 3 speed stick. It would foul the plugs and run bad. I put a dual point mallory distributor in and it cured my problem.

    Edelbrock AirGap question

You realize we're talking about 54 years ago. He was in the electrical union so money was no object. He never told me what he paid and they pretty much only did Chevy's back then. My 68 Road Runner was running great, especially after I beat a 427 full size Chevy, so being in the Service I had no...

Can’t find neutral on my 904

It sounds like you're in Park. I forget with shift lever on the tranny has to be forward or rear ward to come out of park. If it's forward now pull it to the rear and wheels should turn. In any gear wheels should turn, just not in park.

    66 Dart/74 la 318 starter issue

Are you using a known good starter? I would back it out to make sure it would run unbolted from the engine. Can you turn the engine over by hand to make sure it's not frozen. Just trying to cover the basics that can cause a starting problem

    Belt guidance

For 40 years I was using the wrong PS belt. It was pretty much not letting me adjust tension properly. It was also a 3/8" wide where now I have the 1/2" wide and adjustment is now in the middle of the bracket slot. I wrote the # down in my book but I doubt I'll ever need another new one. I keep...

    Belt guidance

I have a gen 2 hemi, that I used all the pulley's off a 383 with the Saginaw pump. Everybody called for a 39 1/2" pump belt, but I had to get a 44" to get it right. Local auto stores are phasing out belts, because the serpentine belt is the now in belt. I used a string around the pulley's to get...

    340 dual point??

With the distributor in the rear on a small block, nothing but a pain to check points and worse if it is 2 sets.

    340 dual point??

I had a 71 Duster 340, I bought new, and it had a single point distributor. I put in the electronic setup and really woke that motor up.

    Full new wiring harness?

Regarding 1 wire ballast, unless you change ignition, you'll need 2 wires for ballast and coil.

Is Bradenton Fl. going to get closed down by subdivision?

Being a hundred miles from Englishtown never heard the part of the kids not wanting to continue the race part of it. But every time I went there a new development was under way. I know the traffic getting in and out was a night mare with a single lane on Texas Rd.. The residents there must have...

Is the spool mount k-member worth modifying/reinforcing and what should I change on the suspension brakes?

So as you see nothing is cut and dry changing somethings on our old cars. Change one thing and it opens a can of worms. I went from drums to 11 3/4 discs on a 71 Cuda, but it had 15" wheels already so no problem.

Is Bradenton Fl. going to get closed down by subdivision?

That's what happened to Englishtown raceway. I first started going there in the mid 80's and it was in the boon docks. I believe in the 90's they started building around there like crazy. The land then becomes too valuable, and the racing stops and they rent the land to store cars. They still...
