Ah, I found my answer. I was overthinking the search - a simpler search for "are power steering and manual steering shafts interchangeable" got me a FABO answer in less time than it took to type it. :) My apologies for the wasted electrons!

You're right...it sucks to wait. :) plus I have the chance to get a rebuilt 727 and pick from a small selection of driveshafts from a fellow Mopar man who is moving soon. I guess I can measure what's in it now for the shaft, do the math on the trans difference and pick one that's closest. Worst...

1975 Dart Sport, currently has a 904 with an 8.75 Sure Grip. I have a local 727 I would like to buy to rebuild and eventually replace the 904 with. I know the driveshaft will be different, but is there a standard length for this combination, or do I have to wait until the transmission is in and...

Are the factory wire colors for the newer Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep, etc. the same as the older A bodies? I'm thinking of using a fuse box from a newer vehicle with blade fuses and just curious. Thanks!

"Young" is a highly relative and subjective word: I'll be 57 years young later this year. :)
