    [WANTED] Stabilizer bar bracket

A closer look at the parts book makes me think it's not a separate part though it can be separated. That parts book can be confusing sometime.

    [WANTED] Stabilizer bar bracket

Your livin' large my friend. I wanted to buy a second car but I'm in a townhome a I'd have neighbors with torches and pitchforks if I did that.

    [WANTED] Stabilizer bar bracket

I'd kill to find a yard in my area. I'm astonished sometimes at the lack of big swap meets etc. in the Chicago and suburban area. All the yards around here seem to destroy these older cars. Sad, really. I will look into the one you mentioned.

    [WANTED] Stabilizer bar bracket

Sounds about right, I was just hoping to find one that someone has seperated. I see used sway bars all the time and they don't seem to include the bracket and bushings. I know the bracket has a separate part number from the bar itself. Of course, as seems to be my curse, that number is different...

    [WANTED] Stabilizer bar bracket

How would you replace the grommet then? They surround that triangular rubber grommet and bolt to the K frame. Once that grommet is removed they should fall free.

    [WANTED] Stabilizer bar bracket

Morning all, I'm looking for the passenger side stabilizer bar bracket for a 1972 Demon 340. I have to imagine that it is the same on quite a few years and models. I'm attaching a picture of the existing driver side and also the passenger side that must have bottomed out on something years ago...

What kind of fuel do you run?

Great info, AJ. Thanks. Does sound a little scary though. The car is a '72 but the motor is a '70 340 with some very mild work done to it. I should have mentioned all that initially. I guess I'll have to do a compression test. Probably should do that anyway since it probably has about an hour...

What kind of fuel do you run?

Hey all, I was just curious what you are running now in these days of NoLead. I put my car away for the most part when the GOV had just started the ban. I used an additive for the most part or would get some racing fuel from Gas City back in the day. I had some fuel left in the tank that...

    rear suspension lift

Was just messaging with Laura over at ESPO. She gave me some options and prices. Says they are 3 month out for leafs though. I'm going to get my T' bars set closer first and make a decision from that point.

[SOLD] 273 318 340 360 Adjustable Rocker Arms w/ Moroso Chrome Valve Covers

I have early adjustables on my car for nearly 50 years now and they also have lock nuts on them. Never realized they weren't standard. I wonder if it was a change at some point?

    rear suspension lift

A lot of good info there, AJ. I do know from all I've read is the height of E70's was a C-hair under 26". These 215's are supposed to be 26.7". The Rears, 28.1. I was pretty surprised by how much things were altered by other adjustments and I was an alignment mechanic 45 years ago. Coincidently...

    rear suspension lift

I'm actually seeing it now on the after photo but it also looks as if the front is sitting higher too now. Look good in both pics though. My fronts are 215/70R15, Rears are 275/60R15

    rear suspension lift

For now, here's a better pic without any exaggeration of the tires and wheels. I still need to get those torsion bars adjusted and factory settings which should raise the nose even more.

    rear suspension lift

That stance looks great Brian, though the "before" pic seems to sit a little higher in back. I imagine it's because it's a true profile pic. I'd be happy with either one.

    rear suspension lift

Hey Joe, 100%. They actually aren't that big, I'll get a better pic. I see that springs and things is on the way to Carlisle. I drag my feet on getting back there every year but that may give me a reason to push myself. I don't like ordering stuff from afar for the most part. I prefer in person...

    rear suspension lift

No, I would prefer it lower but according to factory specs, it should be a little higher still. I had adjusted the torsion bars per manual while on jackstands as far as it could get them to the outside of the LCA's and it seemed fine. When I put the tires one and set it down, it adjusted and now...

    rear suspension lift

A side note... Not sure how that pic turned out so awkward. It looks like the nose has been stretched and the front wheels/tires look larger than the rears. I'll attach another when I get a free minute.

    rear suspension lift

Yeah RRR, I debated just replacing the springs but I want to make sure it sits up a little higher than stock. The Duster/Demon body always looked like they sat too low to me. Thanks.

    rear suspension lift

Hey all, looking for opinions on the simplest way to raise the back end OTHER than air shocks. Here is how she sits right now and for factory numbers, I believe the nose still should come up a bit. Also, the rear tires are already over an inch taller (a little over a half inch to the axle) than...

BF Goodrich radial T/A white letters

Agree. The BFG are good looking tires but didn't want to chance the letters. I have a young friend who had a Red Monte Carlo pace car back in the day and he would routinely recolor his letters Yellow. Hahaha, I AIN'T that guy.

BF Goodrich radial T/A white letters

I read a ton of stories complaining about them turning brown but I would hope they rectified that. I didn't want to take that chance though and bought Mickey's. The smallest MT makes for the front though was 215/70s while I would have preferred 205/65s.

275/60/15 sidewall clearance to leaf spring clamps- suggestions?

They are 5 x 4.5 bolt pattern. I don't believe they make them in a 4" bolt pattern but you can contact them and check. If not, I'm pretty sure Wheel Vintiques makes them in a 4"

275/60/15 sidewall clearance to leaf spring clamps- suggestions?

Hey Quick... I went with US Wheel and was very impressed and happy with them. I had read about issues with Wheel Vintiques (though, I had no personal bad experience) so I leaned toward US Wheel. I literally had gone back and force with them in emails for a couple of years, then eventually bought...

    [FOR SALE] 72 340 duster

Hey bud, was struggling finding a way to attach pics on a PM so I'll attach them here. The driver side is the one that is secured and it has a metal wrap around the grommet. I must have hit something that busted that off and the passenger side. The passenger side is the one I need though. It's...

275/60/15 sidewall clearance to leaf spring clamps- suggestions?

I just happened to be searching spacers and came across this thread. I have a similar situation but I'm running an 8.75 that was originally a B body rearend. I had it narrowed but in my haste didn't account for the 11 inch breaks. I made the adjustment with my aftermarket Rallye's using a 4"...

Hey Punko, I need a PASSENGER SIDE triangular stabilizer bar Bracket. Have no idea what happened to mine but it likely happened many moons ago. The exposed side is Gone and the grommet is just floating.
