Only planned on experimenting with the front nose Quiet Ride sound deadener but after you are up to your elbow in contact cement you may as well just finish it. There is a definite difference in how hollow it feels in the cab now.

Blacked out behind the grill and PlastiDip on the wire looms to restore them. About all I have time for on Mammas Day. I have a new mini buffer coming Tuesday so the grill will get cut and buffed before it goes back in.

RH side and nose cut and buffed. NOS fasteners for the freshly chromed jewelry make it go together so nice.

All the issue spots are repaired and I AM DONE PAINTING THIS THING! It still needs a bit of cutting and buffing to get a lot of overspray off it. It will get much more shine when it’s done but now I can do it and know I don’t have to do it again because I have to paint more.

Words can’t explain the joy I’m feeling right now now! Three coats of clear down and flowed out. Once the UV cures it for 5-6 hours I’ll sand out a bit of peel and a few gnats that decided to land then 3 more coats and it’s done.

A few little things to fix but I’m happy. Once it drys a few hours I’ll clean up the problem areas and may I can get a few coats of clear on it this afternoon.

I can feel the finish line. 4 coats of clear on the back and it’s done, one coat on the front to seal it for taping. Should have another quart of Frozen White next week. Need to fit the gate in a few days to tape up the lines to match the body and then mask off the letters and shoot the...

Sometimes you have to adjust. Planned on white, tape the letters and where orange bands were but the white gave me trouble so had to order more. Won’t be here till next week so we will do it the other way around. Four coats of clear on the gate back, hinges, latch’s tomorrow once FedEx...

Little mockup as I still need to black out behind the grill. Trying out the new chrome/polish jewelry too. I needed the color split on the grill.

Decided to break it into 2 sessions so when one goes to crap it does not make all 3 pieces messed up. Grill and gate jamb done, screwed up and fixed. Tailgate tomorrow.

White down with a reduced coat of UC to lock it down for taping up the letters and splits for the orange. Have had issues with Motobase and tape, not this time. Will install the tailgate to get the lines to match up perfectly with the body. Same for the grill.

PUI has a lot of interior parts. They are not quite the same quality but typically you don’t have to wait 8 months to get it.

Sorry. Blocked out a couple layers of SPI black epoxy, shot 4 heavy coats, blocked it again lightly and used glaze to fill some issues then shot 2 coats of grey epoxy. Now if I hit black when sanding it is time to STOP.

It’s never over till it’s over. Blocked out the epoxy primer that I put down yesterday found a few low spots and a few edges that I did not like. Little bit of glaze little more blocking with 80 grit and a quick sand with 180 grit and it’s flat. Sprayed on a couple light coats of gray epoxy...
