I used a bunch of old pant hangers from Walmart. They gave me a handful of them out of the fitting room, I broke off the clip parts (two per hanger) and used them to secure the edges of the headliner.

That’s a lot of work but it’s looking good. Hopefully your boys are out there helping you and spending time together.
