    Internal engine cleaners/additives

I am a believer in Seafoam, I dose all my fuel in every engine I have with it. I also use Marvel Mystery oil on occasion. I have seen and heard where Marvel Mystery oil is used in light aircraft engines, it is reported to be a great top end lubricant.

An Eagle Cap Camper Snapped A Ram 3500 Dually In Half, Mopar Refuses $17,000 Repair Bill

Ive seen that with a Ford Dually in the town I live, quite unbelievable really. While I can't comment on this scenario specifically, I would go as far to say many people way overload their pickups, worst part is, I don't believe most are even aware. Have a look at the decal in your door jam...

I need schooling - old vs. new engines

True story, an untouched Eagle head outflows a worked set of W2 heads, and can be had over the counter for much less cost. Technology has really changed in head flow and engine management. I do believe there is a place for both.

    Torn between 360/408 and 440

It all comes down to what is it you really want? Do you want to say you have a 440 Dart, then put in the 440. If it is strictly a target power you are after, a 408 will likely get you want you are after in a more compact package. You already know what you have to change to convert to BB. I...

What’s it worth? Odd 69 Swinger

All you would need to do in Alberta is have a bill of sale, then when you putting the road you would need an out of province inspection.

    The EFI myth

I really don't think these conversations are about changing minds, so much as points of view from varied perspectives. Everybody is playing the same game with a different hand of cards. If everyone was the same, and acted the same, it would be a pretty boring world. Everyone brings something...

    The EFI myth

Wow, I would be very frustrated with that also. Our gas in Canada must be a little more stable, although it isn't like the old gas here either, and we don't get the constant heat here like your part of the world. I have quite a few small engines around also, the types that get infrequent use...

    The EFI myth

Your post pretty much sums up my thoughts on EFI, though I'd mention one thing I've been a witness to. A very good friend of mine, and extremely successful stock/superstock racer, and builder, did back to back testing with various carbs, and FI Tech efi kit. Amazing to everyone the EFI bested...

    The EFI myth

I have to agree with this, I too almost went the FI route, but something held me back. These aftermarket kits have not been refined like OEM stuff. Now, I will say, the conversions I have seen done do run very well, efficiency and performance are great. For me, as others have said, it is that...

Are you swapping big inch to little inch?

I'm actually quite familiar with the TQ, I agree it is a great street carb. The compromise I was more referring to is gearing, you get it right for performance and it isn't necessarily great for long drives. Car has 3.23 in it now, did have 2.94, but with the 4 speed and lighter flywheel it...

Are you swapping big inch to little inch?

Everything on these beasts is a compromise. Ideally I would have a Tremec, and EFI, lol

Are you swapping big inch to little inch?

My W2 408 recently put down 17.89MPG (Imperial), on a 320 mile road trip, 2850 RPM constant. Proper timing, and the Edelbrock 800 AVS 2, are certainly helping.

    Fram Oil Filters- American Made!

That model I have not, I have been so turned off since the regular orange Fram, I now use Wix exclusively on all our vehicles.

    Fram Oil Filters- American Made!

I'd be less worried about where it is made, than how it is made. Don't take my word for it, do some research on the subject.

    Fram Oil Filters- American Made!

Fram is likely the worst filter you could buy, I don't care where it's made. Cut one open and look at the filter medium. I recommend Wix filters. Napa Gold are made by Wix. In all honesty, Fram is trash.

Great day out with my oldest son, roadtrip in the Swinger.

There is, has been there since 92 if I recall the date on the mural. It is Tigger from Winnie the Pooh on a set of slicks doing a huge burnout. I'll look for a pic on my phone. Not exactly my cup of tea, but it was so well done I hate to destroy it. Next week the car gets a new AAR 6 pack...

Great day out with my oldest son, roadtrip in the Swinger.

On Sunday, my oldest son and I jumped into the Dart and headed to Edmonton, to watch the drag racing. We made a round trip of 290 miles. The car performed flawlessly. Who would have thought a W2 head 408 would get 17.79MPG(IMP)? I am absolutely sold on the Edelbrock AVS2 800, model 1912, on...

    CANADIANS GETTING THE SHAFT

I too use MSO in Sweetgrass, also had to hire a broker in Lethbridge to get stuff across during covid. Then the 8 hrs drive each way from Edson. Makes for a pricey venture. Have a Buddy heading to Sweetgrass next week for a parts pickup.

    CANADIANS GETTING THE SHAFT

It is for this exact reason I suggested a Canadian buy, sell, and trade section on FABO a few years back. By doing that it would allow the Canadians an opportunity to easily make transactions between one another, trying to reduce the insane international shipping and duties. For Canadians...

    engine paint?

I just finished painting my 340 using POR15 in Chrysler engine blue. I brush painted it. I am very pleased with the results, and ease of use. I did get a few runs on the smooth oil pan which is where I started. Once I figured out how much to put on the brush it went very well. I am amazed...

    W2 setup and hood clearance

What adapters were used here to get the Edelbrock carbs on the Pro Dominator? What linkage was used in this application, this is the first time I've seen Eddy carbs on one of these intakes.
