Should I be feeling more power?

I wouldn't take it to a general mechanic, maybe find a place that does tuning it on a chassis dyno.

    Electric guitar...

If it's fully out of phase sound should cancel out, if partially then it would be more like a phase pedal, comb filtering the sound just no rate.

    Electric guitar...

I'm not sure but I think you can't cause the reverb channel is probably out of phase which will cancel sound.

Some fender amps allow you to patch one pre-amp into the other for more gain. *To make it more clear your playing through both pre amps at the same time, patch cable just sending the guitars out to the 2nd pre amp as well.

Nice silver panel bassman, Is that a 2 x 15 cab ? Mines a later 70's bassman single 15 but use that cab with my Bandmaster for cleans and the bassman and the 2 x 12 cab for dirt with various distortion pedels.

I'm pretty sure (I hope) I don't have to tell you guys not to do this...............

    Where do I look now

When I bought my car a Valiant didn't even occur to me, I just wanted a running driving solid body car, anything else can be fixed as I go. Wanted a Demon, 70-72 Duster, 67-72 Dart, Any 2 door in that order came across a 68 Valiant Signet solid body, decent interior, 380hp crate rebuilt 727 2800...

Ford 272 C.I. runs low 11's. Why do Mopar guys need 408's?

I get both point of views of should only build as fast as you can manage to get ultra consistent times but see that would be easier with a slower car and get how it would suck to lose to them.

Ford 272 C.I. runs low 11's. Why do Mopar guys need 408's?

Kind of like the guys here in stock car racing building 50 thousands dollar entry level thunder cars instead of a couple classes up where that money makes sense, guess there happy being a big fish in a little pond.

Ford 272 C.I. runs low 11's. Why do Mopar guys need 408's?

To me street strip car is a car where the strip is primary focus driveability takes a backseat basically a racecar with a plate. Street Machine whatever you want call it all out performance is still important but willing to compromise performance for a more street friendly ride and just trickles...

Ford 272 C.I. runs low 11's. Why do Mopar guys need 408's?

Street and strip car = a car that's been on a street and been down the strip at least once each :)

Ford 272 C.I. runs low 11's. Why do Mopar guys need 408's?

This where most arguments happen we all have different views/philosophy of whats performance/street strip/ race car is what streetable is and how to go about, whatever works for you and are satisfied with results guess it's good enough then.

Ford 272 C.I. runs low 11's. Why do Mopar guys need 408's?

Not saying to build it, I found it interesting, and thought the guys talking about polys would to. Yes makes more sense to build 340/360 408/416 400/440 470/543 and people should but it a boring read most of the time. It's like nitrous dyno pulls add 100 hp nos shot and get a 100 hp more power...

Ford 272 C.I. runs low 11's. Why do Mopar guys need 408's?

Guess I could do it, get a stock magnum cam, compare crate, stock and the comp 264 I got dig up a couple of gears sets do a shoot out :)

Ford 272 C.I. runs low 11's. Why do Mopar guys need 408's?

Like I've said before most of this comes down to personal preferences, compromises, to me that's a small price to pay. To me spending all that money to only end up with a 408 but that's me but doesn't have to make sense same with someone building /6 to a 318 etc..

Ford 272 C.I. runs low 11's. Why do Mopar guys need 408's?

I like how you do it, there's tons of info on the other, but yes would be interesting what each of these mods do. I'd like see someone do AJ's way gears stall exhaust intake and tune on stock cam low cr engine he's always pushing. See if win tie lose to your general way.

Ford 272 C.I. runs low 11's. Why do Mopar guys need 408's?

To me most on here don’t generally want to run higher than 3.55 gears, why not build the displacement that makes the hp at the rpm where your gearing choice is optimal instead of some compromise.
