    Torque converter in manual bellhousing?

uhh. maybe? i'd be more concerned about a big *** torque converter flying around without any support just off some flex plate bolts. that just might wobble out all them weebles and then things get round and brown in a hurry. that's if you can even get the starter to engage. who knows if the...

it's a window... and it's in the kitchen so i kinda, sorta need standard screen there. the screen door is one of those all metal security types. thank [insert deity of choice] for that.

i contemplated alum screen, but i couldn't find any the first time they busted out the billion year old unit so i settled for whatever passed for super heavy duty. it's held up well thus far. i didn't have to replace it, just "reset it" because they like to lean and flop against the screen and...

Getting fed up of high-perf , being happy with less

i'm in the same boat. i'll take capable over a hotrod 9 out of 10 times. but that 10th time, i'm gonna want something really wild.

    Apologies

PM me a link or shoot one up here. or start a thread asking about it. i don't know what bodywork costs where you are, so you may need some one with more local flavor to answer that part of the question. remember, on the price i can only speak as to what something like that would likely sell for...

    Apologies

i admire the craftsmanship and ingenuity. loves me some bass boat metal flake, too. agreed that it need some meats to fill out them rear wheel wells. i see a six pack air cleaner, what's the scoop with the rest of that rig?

    8 3/4 identification. 391 gears

i'm not sure entirely what you're asking but here's a measurement chart for the rear end and axles https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/threads/an-accurate-8-3-4-rear-axle-width-list.365494/ if you're asking how to ID the gears you can pop the carrier out and it'll be stamped on the ring gear...

    Jim Slusser Buyer Beware

this whole thread is a bigger tease than Francesca DeLongpre in short shorts and bikini tops that one summer between junior and senior year when it was hotter than anybody could remember. lemme tells ya, now there was a gal that could haul some heads on a airport trolley!

    Jim Slusser Buyer Beware

well, now i want to know the rest of this sordid tale! drug mules, octogenarians, a con job gone wrong and an airport trolley!

    Vanguard Motorsales

let me rephrase: hot rod joe couldn't build it for that because he's paying shops to do all the work. i could absolutely build it for that, it's just there wouldn't be much meat left on the bone when it came time to flip it.

    Vanguard Motorsales

original slant car, so there's that. but given where the market is it don't find this totally out of line. there's a bunch of stuff that i don't particularly care for, and some stuff that's not my style, and a little bit of the obvious liberties taken/good enough/that'll work. however, it's...

    Another bad weekend

this is fantastic news! keep on trucking amigo, you'll be there before you know it. and make sure to show some gratitude to your care takers-- muffin basket, timmy's donuts & coffee, cured meats and a stack of expired gift cards for complimentary car washes.

    I hate BMW’s

fair enough. i love, love, love their little 2T bikes (and *some* of their scooters) but they are a legit pain in all nine assholes to work on and get parts for. the RS125 is a stupidly fun bike and begs to be ridden in a ridiculous manner.

oh... have a seat fellas and let me tell you about Aprilia... torx and allen heads in stainless or aluminum, all different sizes and there's a million of 'em on each machine.

    I hate BMW’s

i love how DTM goes from: "what are the benefits to leasing a car" to knowing all about it in the span of six posts and several hours. this is why people clown on you all the time. i'm sure the DMV knows all about leasing a car. jfc. *makes wanking motion*

    I hate BMW’s

hahaha! nah, it's a E3 Bavaria. So it's like the big brother to 2002, or the four door saloon version of a E9 (don't worry it's getting an LS swap)

    Great weekend at Spring Fling

i had two a-body 8.75's at the swap, one was ready to bolt in complete with shock plates the other needed brakes. didn't sell either. lots of questions, but the interest seemed to be more what they were worth as each person would say: oh, i have half a dozen at home. (probably right next to...

    Great weekend at Spring Fling

Jim, we were waiting in line to get into the swap sat. morning when you came cruising by and my brother pointed out your car and remarked how good it looked rolling down the street. i told him that he needed to check it out and later after we were situated he went to go have a peek. on returning...

    Differences in 318 block.

why not just ask the machine shop? i mean, they're going to bore it and hone it so they'd know what it'll clean up at.

    "I was told"

usually it's some of A and lot of C in certain cases but mostly B if i use "i was told" i'll follow it up with a qualifier: i was told this [blank] fits or came from a [blank], i'm not 100% sure but the part number correlates to this span of years so it may be correct for what you're trying to do.

    Been awhile

*wearily* you... you missed the "best cam for a 318" discussions and if you can make horsepower with a 318 fear not, there will be another, likely by the end of the week. the battles continue as the war is not yet won...

Anyone know Chris Romard London Ontario?

not all of us that sell parts online are scumbags, dan. some of us actually make a bit of a living at it and have a reputation to protect. i for one take pride in providing good used parts, making connections, helping people out and keeping cars on the road.

Anyone know Chris Romard London Ontario?

that's because people are more apt to post up about the bad vs the good. i forget the numbers right off the top of my head, but it's something like people are 70% more likely to leave bad reviews than good. it's partially due to a bad experience triggering an emotional response. negative...
