Well the master would need work, wouldn't have the push rod. I would just go buy a new one on rock auto.

72 should be the KH, which already is small bolt pattern, just unbolt the ball joins and tie rods and its yours.. Yo-yo right on your car. they are both small bolt pattern. Go to napa and get a new master for disk brakes. Pull that booster too, its worth about 100 bucks.

So that is true I believe if your going 77-up FMJ body. I think 76 and below are the old style. The easiest way is to pull the whole set up from what ever you use as a donor car.

Just make sure if your using a dual master with drums all the way around that you have a dual master that is for just drum brakes. You need the residual valve in both ports not just the front.

I changed over for the brake fading under heat and traffic. Mine worked ok, had trouble now and again with even stopping. But braking distance disks can't be beat.

So you only need a residual valve if your master cylinder is below the horizon plane of the disk brake calipers (street rods). Sounds like you have it plumbed wrong. You also my not need much on the proportioning valve. I didn't even need it with 9 inch brakes in the rear still.
