What code does your fender tag show? bottom row, second in from the right. My 72 came with a 904. It's a 318 with power disc/drum , power steering and AC... Not sure these options matter in whether or not it was built with 904 or 727. 904 is considered "light duty"
Great idea. I would want to validate what those marks on the gauge mean. Assuming they are for 0 20 40 60 80 but something like this you'd want to be sure of. You could also use a meter match to correct any inaccuracy of the gauge.

I have a 72 rear bumper with slots and a 71 front bumper with no slots. I already have a jack for the 72 style slotted bumpers but that obviously won't work on the front. My plan was to modify a 70/71 hook by welding a slotted plate to the back of it. I see new and NOS hooks...
