So how far does the stick go into the pan after the tube ends? I can just use something but need to know how far in it goes. Or do I just go in until it touches the bottom of the pan?

So for some reason my oil dipstick broke off just below the entry point. I need to check oil manually so how long is a slant 6 dipstick from top of tube to end? I am currently doing the hot Rod power tour and I need to check my oil regularly. Thanks in advance! RGAZ

Ok, I got this figured out. I tried the magnum hose as recommended and it was a no go, because my alternator is on the passenger side so the hose would actually go through the belt which made it impossible to ensure it doesn't rub. I ended up getting Dayco hose E71317 AND used the stock hose...

I just finished painting the Duster and she is almost ready to go. I'll be riding through at least Louisville. I'll look for you guys at Beech Bend, you won't miss my bright Yellow Tribute! See you next week! RGAZ

So, do I see a hint of 4 doors? Dodge stripe on the back? Are the scoops Dodge knockoffs because i thought this car had a central scoop. Looks weird to me.

100% agree. So the question is: if I remove the Ac compressor, I have an extra pulley on the crank that lines up to the extra pulley on the water pump. Can I get a belt that just directly connects those two? So if I run no alt, I still get water pump driven. Anyone do this?

So the rear pulley on the water pump and rear on the crank cannot have a belt so I get water pump direct drive?

I deleted Ac on my 73 slant 6 and the only belt driving the water pump is the alt belt (minimal contact) What belt would I use if I want to connect the crank pulley to the water pump pulley directly? The PS pump has its own belt driven from the crank. Thanks RGAZ

I wish I saw this earlier. I finished putting the rear springs, filled it (so I would not forget) and adjusting the height so I could drop it to ride height and measure for the driveshaft and noticed the bottom of the diff with a slight wetness. I thought maybe the gasket didn't seal, but now...

Completed patch panel weld repair on quarter. Test fitting the new rear. Stock springs were junk so ordered ESPO springs +1 but not here until July so I will run it with the stock junk on the longest shackle. I like the fit of the rear. Wheel shown is a little bigger than stock, not sure...
