Looks like someone threaded a puller in too far or used a bolt to force the pump out. If I smooth this out , whats an opinion on this not leaking/leaking behind the pump.

Made a few moves on the car over the last week. Brought the engine up from my garage in town and installed it. Did some sound deadening and primered over the old yellow primer.
