Doug, going from an M1 to an LD340 is a major jump. Problem is you have yet to tell us what you plan for the car. It’s like wood working- cutting plain Jane 2x4 then you use a 24 tooth blade. But cutting 1x6”oak for trim then you want a much finer blade like 80teeth. It sounds like the M1 did...

My 72 Demon 340 4 speed with factory power steering has them- I had to remove the draglink to make it easier No fuss but like said before I bolted them to the engine and raised it up from the bottom.

If it is a 3 speed auto from 1960; isn’t that a cast iron with dual pumps (front and rear)? Not the tf we assume it is? That is IF RRR is correct after the coin flip?

But Rusty, boob tube said we can adjust all of the settings with a tape measure and a short level in my driveway. So it MUST be true. LMAO!

You turn both in the same direction to adjust camber.
