    More Counterfeit Stuff, Cordless Batteries

I just watched this over the weekend. Besides an annoying voice- he must have some serious utube street cred. His videos are everywhere.

1965 Twin turbo 360 Barracuda with nice paint. NOT MINE

My 66’ had gaps like that and was all factory. It does not know. It took hours to get close, not perfect but close. It still wins awards with non perfect gaps. I honestly did not look super hard at the gaps when all that engine was hanging out. Kinda like the woman in the red dress in the movie...

1965 Twin turbo 360 Barracuda with nice paint. NOT MINE

You do realize that those body gaps from the factory were crap… right? Who knows why some people do what they do. They may be on purpose. That thing probably twists up pretty hard and the gaps allow doors to still open after a few “mashing of the throttles.”

    Commando Valve Cover Bolt Question

Chrome valve cover bolts. After 60 years become rusted. They where a typical chrysler fastener with a rim on top of the bolt top and built in washer about 7/16” od maybe 1/2” od but all chrome. The washer floats free of the bolt head. Mine don’t look chrome but they are. I found NOS ones at a...

Has anyone had any problems installing this TCI trans shield.

Anytime you add something made for racing to a factory car (especially floor related) modification is required. Since Dusters never came with a big block everything is modified. Did you actually have a fit issue or are you just over thinking what others wrote?

    Spacing alternator bracket with washers

3/8” pipe nipple. Buy like a 3” nipple. Cut the threads off and then cut down to the length you need with a hacksaw. If you cut it straight- nobody will know after a touch of rattle can black. I personally have some of the inner fender reinforcement rods from a 75’Duster. (Fender to cowl) The...

He asked what would we pay and I answered.

How much would you pay for this 340?

I would pay no more than you are willing to flush down the drain. It could be cracked or damaged beyond repair. $500 is the most I’d pay for an unknown core.

    squeaky belt(s)

“Their best ones?” Most parts store “best ones” are top of the line garbage. Napa or gates belts have been my go to. Car quest is second. But since car quest got bought out by Advanced auto- they suck too now. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Also, sitting is the worst thing for a belt, they...

CNC Mill Mark Removal in Intake Port

So with multi port fuel injection and the injector just above the valve… there is no time for fuel atomization at high rpm. And anyone who wants to tell me the length of the runner and head port is enough at 4,000rpm to “mix” and properly atomize fuel and air… I don’t buy it. Will rough runners...

    Shock absorber opinion

Spring loaded shocks for the back is like putting lipstick on a pig. Will it work- yes. But not for the long haul. New springs are needed. They wear out even just sitting there. Bushings, wearplates, and height. As for shocks- name brand and new are best. eBay shocks- not so much. lol!

    Clutch Linkage Problem

SN: my 72’ 340/4 speed Demon and Doug’s and tti exhaust. Lately my clutch pedal is releasing but will “snap back” the last 1” after a quick rap of the throttle or I lift it back with my foot. Engine shifted a bit to one side due to motor mount. I loosened up the mounts, shifted the engine...

FAIL right out of the package.

That’s too bad. A shame actually. Recently I switched from HEI back to FBO box and coil/ distributor. HEI have been failing- I went thru 3 in 2 weeks. Double checked all my voltages, grounds, grease and heat sink. All was good. Even the pick up module in the distributor. SN: 3 named brands all...
