Kinda makes you wonder how many of her past (and present?) male students voted for her as "Teacher of the Year", if you know what I mean.

Is my dash pad the wrong color?

I don't know which is correct, but in my opinion... It's your car, and if you like it that way, and won't get all stressed-out about correctness and originality, just drive 'er and fuhgedabouttit!

any swappers at mopars in the park ?

At the risk of hijacking this thread, if anyone who is going to MITP has a spare/extra windshield washer set-up (squirters, hoses, T's, etc), from the pump onwards, for a '68 to '70-ish Dart, please PM me. I never noticed this when it was at my place, but several years ago Bazza had a local guy...

You only live once, and Life is short, so when the urge strikes...

Oh, God! I just remembered... Back in High School when I had my first '69 Mustang, I took some windshield washer squirters from an old Ford van (they stood "proud" of the sheetmetal about an inch or so), and I mounted them on the vertical sheetmetal lip formed by the inner and outer rear...

Love it! We live in a neighborhood the encircles a small wetland/swamp/pond, depending on how much rain we've gotten recently, and since it's "just us" who goes in there, it's pretty quiet. Several of the neighbor kids have go-carts and/or minibikes, and on most weekends they can be seen...

    Holley Float Bowl Gaskets

I think that ridge is there to help "hold" the gaskets in place while you're installing them, nothing more, as the clamping force of the four bolts will hold them in place once installed. Of course I could be wrong, but if you have a spare float bowl laying around (I may have one somewhere, I...

MN Four Seasons: Fall, Winter, Spring, Canadian Wildfire Smoke

Zimmerman, here. It was almost like a light switch. I got in the shower and it was nice outside. I got out of the shower, and....not so nice out. But at least we're safe, and have no fires here (knock on wood).

MN Four Seasons: Fall, Winter, Spring, Canadian Wildfire Smoke

4:00 PM this afternoon/evening: Sunny, blue skies, and 80 degrees. Damn near a perfect summer-like day. 6:00 PM: Smoky, smelly, and an Air Quality Alert until noon tomorrow, at least. That **** moved-in here fast. I feel for the folks up in NE British Columbia, I really do, and I sincerely...

    NHL 23-24

I'm outta the loop on this one. Is there some sort of a link to the backstory available? Edit: Holy ****! This from the AP: After the league’s 19th coaching change since the end of the 2022-23 season, the team said the search for Keefe’s replacement will begin immediately. Seriously. 19...

    I’m freekin bored.

Hearing the same old story over and over and over again from the same person reminds of what an old friend used to tell me: "It's hard to build a reputation based on something you're going to do." After a while you just have to call BS and let 'em go.

When is a new car "yours"?

My BIL gave me a boat recently, and yesterday afternoon I had it up at the house for a thorough clean-out and pressure wash. My wife says this is part of my ritual with new equipment to "make it mine", and while I was pressure washing it I realized she may be onto something. When I bought my new...

We have a wetland about 1/4 mile to the south of us, and a pond to the north of us, across the street, and like you we're right along the "migration route", it seems. My wife works from home, and she sent me a picture of one that was about 8" diameter on Wednesday, but I deleted the text w/o...

Looking at purchasing a "portable garage" (aka, tent) for temp storage. Any recommendations?

Is that yours? If so, care to share the brand name and how much $$$ it costs?

Looking at purchasing a "portable garage" (aka, tent) for temp storage. Any recommendations?

Ouch! My budget is roughly $4k all-in, which includes some Class 5 I want to lay down as a base. Can't imagine laying out $10k for one of these, though. Wow!

I sincerely appreciate the feedback on the Shelter Logic unit, thank you! And good luck storing stuff for others! We have way too much stuff here that belongs to our (deadbeat) niece and nephew, but their my wife's family, and....you get the picture.

Looking at purchasing a "portable garage" (aka, tent) for temp storage. Any recommendations?

That's one of the reasons we bought the place we did, as I was paying almost $1,000/month for three rental/shop spaces. Now I have everything in the same ZIP code, at least! Just need to get the shed/shop insulated, and then I can use the "tent" as a weather cover for the boats.

I like it!! May I ask what brand that is? Heck, it's damn near the same price as the Shelter Logic "tent" I'm considering....

Looking at purchasing a "portable garage" (aka, tent) for temp storage. Any recommendations?

Whoa, baby! Is that a '69 Highboy? (Nice!!!) If so, it would fit right in around here: Regardless, the shed/shop seen above isn't insulated, and I don't have room for one of my boats right now, so I'm thinking of moving the contents of the shed/shop outdoors while I have it insulated...and...

Looking at purchasing a "portable garage" (aka, tent) for temp storage. Any recommendations?

Thanks! I think I got most of my space cleared-out this evening, and if I go with a 24' x 12' or 14', that oughtta be about right. Still no pictures of what I cleared-out (it got too dark on me), but it's in the woods, and pretty well protected by the trees.
