    Brainstormin' 440 vs 5.9 ...

None, I imagine if he dyno it the same way as before it would dyno similar. IDK, but obviously there's circumstances a vehicle don't mph like it should. Sounds about right, but cause it right sometimes don't make it right every time, so for the formula to be right, that means Joe's engine...

    Brainstormin' 440 vs 5.9 ...

Obviously Joe's truck has more than 375 hp (gross crank dyno trim hp) and if it can't mph what you'd expect a 450-500 hp would do for a given weight (his truck) there must be situations where a vehicle comes up majorly short in mph on the track. Obviously the answer isn't if it comes up short...

    Brainstormin' 440 vs 5.9 ...

There is basically no reasonable situation where Joe's 500 hp truck engine only dyno's 375 hp like Wallace calculates, it may dyno like 450-500 hp on other dyno's but without extremely handicapping it, the Wallace prediction is obviously wrong, is the truck severely underperforming sure, why ...

That's your right too, Merry Christmas :)

    Brainstormin' 440 vs 5.9 ...

So the Dyno says gross hp of 500 hp and Wallace says gross hp of 375, obviously Wallace is wrong. If you took his engine out and ran it on any reasonable dyno as is no way it will only dyno around 375 hp. Let's say the Wallace is generally in the ballpark there must be circumstance where it...

    Brainstormin' 440 vs 5.9 ...

Seems about right or even a little low, but you seem to squeeze more performance for a given power to weight. So I bet there's a bunch of guy's with a similar truck going way slower (mph) than you but still making similar power to weight but would calculate even less power. To me anytime I...

    Brainstormin' 440 vs 5.9 ...

I get that but what proof is there that these calculators are accurate in the 1st place, the original formula was based off some guys hp estimation in the 50/60's and later Road and Track data, no actual dyno results, and when there is dyno results the calculator is assumed to be correct and...

But also why dyno's put out different results, cause the conditions of the test were different changing the power being made.

    Brainstormin' 440 vs 5.9 ...

I just find it funny how a Calculated hp results are held in a higher regard than a dyno's measurement.

    Brainstormin' 440 vs 5.9 ...

To me Dyno = Potential, Track = How well that potential is being used.

Rumblefish probably knows, he's done things for him, to me it seem like a hobby/business.

Stock Magnum heads vs Aluminum edelbrock heads

Depends on how well you ported the Stock Magnum heads, they could be flowing similar, so no real gain is possible. If half way in between with mild cam may not do all that much especially for the $$$$$. How much gain would you need to feel worth it?

A small port like that flowing 233 cfm must of had fairly high average velocity.
