360 with a 4" crank (stroker) is a square engine. 4 " x 4"

Best test shown on a factory '74 Duster 360 4bbl back then I seen was 14.6's in the 1/4 mile. Not too shabby for a '74.

They went to "net" rating in '72. '71 318 2bbl had 230 hp gross. '72 318 2bbl had 150 net. That's huge.

Thank you. It's just as of now (and I have no idea how long) just about all our time has been diverted due to unfortunate circumstances. It will work itself out eventually.

We have had a sudden circumstance that was out of our control pop up and I'm afraid it looks as if cars will take a back seat for a minute or three.

this looks more normal to me. nut appears to be a 1/4 inch more towards the center, and the washer is larger and still farther away... maybe it's all in the pictures

That doesn't look right to me. The actual brackets just don't seem right. Also, the brackets hanging that far off the biscuit, and the nut so close to the wall.. just seems different to me for some reason

These cars are 50++ years old. Were they ever in a accident? How many motor swaps, like the OP here states a BB was in his car using elephant ears. So much to consider, and no way to make a header to compensate for all entire history of the car.

When a lot of things are "way outta wack" on known-to-fit-well headers, I look at two things: The engine placement and are the headers right (meaning wrong headers in box or wrong headers ordered).

i understand your frustration. I can tell you i could put power steering with a fist clearance on my cars. Is your engine sitting in the FACTORY location with FACTORY mounts or OEM replacement mounts - including the steel bracket and the rubber biscuit? Pictures of the mounts, etc would help...

All cars are different. I haven't done Doug's on a 4 speed car, but I have on automatics. One Duster fit like a glove with no massaging at all. The other Duster I had to just a tad massage around the drivers torsion bar, BUT, that Duster was a /6 car and has schumacher mounts, which the...

a .030 over 6.4 would put it in the scope of this thread....

4.09 x 3.72 ... and the 6.2 Hellcat is a de-stroked 6.4 ... 6.2 - 4.09 x 3.58 .... ironically, the 5.7 is a 3.92/3.58 motor. Basically, a 360 crank in a 318 :)
