Yes the rocker molding was a rare option. I ordered it on this Duster awhile back (Dec. 1969) and it too was the only one I had ever seen with the optional molding.
I have a soft spot for Dusters also. The B-5 one in my avatar pic there was my first new car. Don't start doing the math...yea, I'm old. Don't want to come across as a smart A, but that quarter panel patch you have is not really correct for a 1970. There is no "turn in" forming the bumper...
Not sure about your model year but in 1970 there was a paint code for the body and a paint code for the roof which might explain the two F8's. Anyone know what the T3 code is?
Welcome, I too love your Truck. I have more Trucks than a-bodies. My Trucks would be considered modern (all 1979's) as compared to your cool Truck.
Due to CA. noise regulations, LRE's were not allowed to be sold in CA. when they were new. That's why there is no mention of CA. emissions on the LRE emission label as can be found on all other 78-79 Dodge Trucks.
Thanks to everyone that responded. The ones I have are in fact too long, but we have found a pair of correct ones locally and can now proceed to make it a roller. That will be a major milestone as this project has had many set backs on the last 5 yrs.
