I agree. I would feel very comfortable with 1/2 good studs on your deal.

1/2 inch ARP suds can take a lot of abuse. My ex car has been 140 mph at 3220 pounds with those. As light as the OP’s car is my opinion is it’s overkill assuming using good studs, good lugs, etc. Kinda like 500 gph fuel pumps for typical bracket cars.

Gonna be a tough decision. Lord willing, I might do Moparty then the Moparfest at London KY, an event I love. But haven’t ruled out doing Norwalk and London yet either. Skipping Moparty and the NHRA national event at 131

Yea, the actual racing surface at 131 is the nicest I have ever been on.

That’s because IHRA has said all the stuff they do will be run on the 1/8. Things like stock, super stock, .90 stuff, etc. I hope IHRA changes that stance. Stupid idea.

I was aware of that, but was still surprised it was enough to offset the weight, but it sure did.

Years ago I swapped from an 8.75 to a Dana. Fairly significant weight gain(65-70 pounds or so) saw nothing on the slip.

It’s probably 3000-3100 with driver. Runs a glide, maybe convertor isn’t quite right, but it’s super consistent, he won the bracket final race couple years ago with it. Have a buddy who went 9.40 at 143 with that deal with a 904 about 3000 with him in it. Getting the convertor right isn’t easy...

Guy at our local track races points with that setup, has a duster. Runs 6.30 ish typically, 20’s in good air.
