I’m using the middle holes for now, which I hope will work for me since I’m average height, but I can’t really test them out since my car is a shell right now. It had non-mopar seats in it when I bought it.
Regarding the studs that go through the floor, a few of mine were badly rusted and I was able to press them out of the bases using my bench vice with a socket on the head side. It slightly mangled the base but it went back in shape fairly easily. Some heat added wouldn’t be a bad idea and use...
Nice looking dash! I don't know what year your tach is from.
So I cancelled my order with Classic and ordered a tach from AMS- they have a 2 week lead time for this item. I had already waited 4 months with Classic. AMS also had an AM radio that was on my "needed" list so that will be coming my...
Thanks for this information. I’ve been waiting for a back-ordered aftermarket tachometer from Classic Industries for my ‘67 Barracuda for a few months now and they can’t provide any estimate of when they might ship it.
Thanks a bunch for the responses. Dana, just to confirm- is that the locking strip you're showing engaging with the ends of the side SS pieces?
Thanks,
Steve
I am getting ready to go through this process with my '67 Barracuda convertible. I'm seeing the original style Precision seal with their chrome locking strip available from DMT and I am leaning towards sticking with this original setup instead of converting to the 68/69 setup. But I have...
I painted my former truck in a home made paint booth in 2000. The exhaust fan was sort of marginal and there were lots of fumes in the booth. I was very happy that I splurged for a fresh air respirator with a full hood. You need to protect your eyes as well as your lungs and skin.
Be very safe!
Hi Alan,
Yes, I didn’t see #181 at Restoration Specialties, which led me to look elsewhere- I was happy to find them at Layson’s. Thanks for your previous posts with that information.
Steve
I've also been looking for these rocker molding clips and wanted to mention that Layson's seems to carry the ones mentioned in post #3- that is, numbered 181 and 3164 (they use the same part numbers but preceded by "GZ-").
Also, I believe that the number of clips needed mentioned in post #7 is...
I’m missing one of my wiring covers and instead of buying a full set or making one, I was wondering if anyone has a spare for the right front. Used is okay as long as the tabs are intact. Thanks.
Looking for a very good set of the individual letters for my header panel.
I realize repros are available. I waited 9 months for a backorder from one vendor and they sent me the wrong ones and don’t seem to offer the correct ones. I see Laysons have them so that seems to be an option.
Thanks.
