So after doing some more research, it seems if I have a 10" drum spindle the Willwood brakes will offset my factory drum trackwidth to +.20 if I have a 9" drum spindle it will off set my factory track width to -.08 so I learned that not all pre 73 spindles are created equal, I don't know if a 9"...
The Wilwood brake kit for the 72 and older spec to have zero offset but they have 3 different kits, the tires are 26x6.0015LT Mickey Thompson, the rims if I remember correctly are 4" or 4.5 with zero offset. I paid a good buck for these because they were in very nice condition, you can't buy...
I just needed to confirm the 73 and up was 3/4" on each side wider, and if I use a pre 72 spindle with Willwood brake conversion if that would bring them back in. 3/4" should give me more than enough room.
Modifying the fenders any more than I have is not an option, honestly I don't care for...
I know this subject has probably been beat to death but I am looking for some clarification. I currently have a 73 and up front brake setup that was installed by the previous owner, this and the B body rear worked fine with the wheels that were previously on the car (which were off a n early...
I have a very solid 67 Barracuda with the trusty 440, the engine has been good but it is time for an update, I want to drive the car cross country on Rt66 and I found a very low mileage 2018 392 scat pack engine and 8HP70 trans with the factory PCM, harness, gas pedal etc. Does anyone know if I...
I know this thread is old but recently I've had some very bad luck with MARS, they rebuilt the generator on 35 Plymouth twice and the car still broke down from it not charging, took it to Forest city electric and found out Mars never rebuilt it inside, the windings and wires were shorting out...
Do you have linkage that hooks to the carb linkage so the trans knows when to disengage the lockup? And when to shift etc? The Extreme website states the stage 2 trans shifts at 4500, I left an email and tried to call Lonnie but I hear he's a one man show and very busy, I would hope it wouldn't...
I believe the Extreme trans offers a 3 disk setup? The switch sounds like a good option for cruisin, I have seven vehicles and two Harleys so it is sometimes hard to remember the exact characteristics of every car. Haven't driven this paticular car in a while because of our inclement weather.
Like I said, it is over 3k rpm cruising down the road at 55-60 which is not comfortable, we go from what is the best OD trans to fit in an A body to what are the precise numbers of your rpms vs mph? Like I said who really cares? Anyone who has driven one of these cars with 26" rear tires 355...
I wanted to take my car for a spin to refresh my memory on excact numbers that were in question IE rpm vs mph an so forth but the county decided to dump salt on the frosty roads this morning, lets just say driving between 55 and 65 my engine turns at an rpm which makes me very uncomfortable...
Just for kicks if the road is clean when I get home from work I will try to get the car out and recheck my road numbers for accuracy, my speedo is off buy we checked it with my 2008 chrysler, my speedo reads 90 at 55.
