I had my dream car from 1969 through 1978. It was a 1967 Shelby GT500. I bought it for $2460. Sold it for more than that but still wish I hadn't sold it. No pictures as lost them in a computer crash.
Had to wash dirt off engine. Live in west Texas and winter brings in dust storms. My shop bays are full of other projects. Almost 72 years old and working to finish everything asap! LOL
Also custom gauge panel, Chevy V6 MSD distributor I adapted to work. Rear end is the 7.5 with strange axles which I narrowed myself and P-Track, stock ford disc brakes rear, Wilwood 4 piston disc on front. Don't have any other pictures as changed phones and lost them. Thanks for asking.
Wasn't hard to build but made many changes as I went. I started with a Classic Fast MPFI but didn't like all the clutter from the wiring. Changed to a FITECH as I'm not going to race, just cruise. Runs great for a bone stock 170. Bellhousing was a custom unit. 4 wheel disc brakes.
63 Dart, slant six turbo, home built headers, too big of a turbo, T5 3.45 rear gears (Can't remember for sure), FiTech. Can't keep my foot out of it. 12-15 MPG. Tuned for performance. Sure I could get 25 or so if took it easy. 1
Stock 170.
