    1972 Front Disc Brake Conversion

I also had terrible experience with SSBC. Eventually got the kit to work but after numerous issues with wrong parts, missing parts, damaged parts. Definitely can’t recommend SSBC.

Hi. If you can check I would appreciate it. Earlier in the post I included the part # that is stamped into the spindle on the car now.

1970 duster with seized bearing on spindle - revisited

Apologies - this is the correct pic where the damage can be seen. I have a new bearing coming this week and will do a test fit but still wanted to solicit your thoughts about whether I need to find a new spindle too.

That may work. I'm uncertain how to tell for sure, other than maybe if the part #'s are still stamped and match.

That is fair re: the reproduction. Sounds like I need to try harder to find an original replacement as many suggested. Thank you.

LOL re your comment about confused members. As to the caliper - yes, caliper is off. Rotor and bearing are seized on spindle.

Any idea where I can find a spindle for my 1970 plymouth duster

Hi everyone, I have a largely original 1970 plymouth duster. 318 car that had 10" drums all the way around. I did a SBC front disc conversion and have been happy as can be. Sadly, it appears a race worked loose in one of the rotors and ate up the bearing. Rotor is now seized on car. I'm...

1970 Duster Front Brake Conversion Kit for SBP

To close the loop on this, and after trying multiple wheel studs, we found some from napa that worked with the SSBC A153-1 kit and our 15" ralley wheels. The Napa part number is: 6413148. I've attached a photo as well.

1970 Duster Front Brake Conversion Kit for SBP

Hello! I recently purchased the A-153 kit as well for my 70 duster. I wanted to keep my SBP also as I want to keep my 15" ralley wheels. Kit is great but the rotors only came with studs for the big bolt pattern. Called SSBC & they said just re-use the studs in different holes but that won't...
