67 Dart GT - need help measuring hood emblem

Huge shoutout to Dana67Dart who sent me this: I got busy using it on my 67 GT: Hole locations marked in ink first - I used a centerpunch to score the exact center of hte holes, then drilled a 1/16" pilot hole first, that allowed easy precision for the full sized holes: The...

67 Dart GT - need help measuring hood emblem

Could someone with a 67 Dart GT measure the overall width of the D O D G E letters on the front hood? I have replacements for the missing letters on my 67 but the hood was sourced from a 68 so i will need to drill new mounting holes. I know if it's not stock correct placement it will drive...

Fuel pouring out Edelbrock - why?

Followup - I tried Trailbeast's suggestion of pinching the rubber fuel line, and the problem cleared up. Which tells me it was aproblem with the needle and seat, since a sunken float would likely not have un-sunk. Got the rebuild kit and going to rebuild that carb though, because who knows when...

Fuel pouring out Edelbrock - why?

Great responses thank you. I have a carb kit coming, will replace the inlet valves and seats, accel pump and floats. Basic stuff but I'm just not used to these Edelbrocks, only ever worked on the Carter FB and AVSs, wasn't sure if there was something else I should know. The line pinch trick...

Fuel pouring out Edelbrock - why?

Working on this new-to-me Edelbrock carb on a 66 Dart with 273. Starts and runs but pours fuel out the rear power brake vacuum port. When I plugged that, it began foaming gas up out of the vent holes outboard of the right metering rod. Never saw this happen before but I bet someone else has...

Early shifter to lever 904 conversion

What's the current situation as far as options to connect a later lever operated 904 to an early cable style floor shifter? The kind with the disc handle sideways, not the kind with button on top of shifter. (pic of early shifter for reference, not actually mine) PO of my 65 Cuda got as far...

Stuck in Park - column shift stuck

Oh wow, Mopar made a documentary to explain it to me! Well, almost. It shows the interlock that requires the shofter to be in Park for the key to be turned. But no interlock preventing shifting out of Park, I'm not sure there was one? Cool training vid though

Stuck in Park - column shift stuck

Wait - is it the ignition switch that releases the shifter out of park, or is it the brake? On later mopars its the brake.

Stuck in Park - column shift stuck

The key turns smoothly and turns, the steering lock disengages smoothly. The key doesn't start the engine because of an unknown electrical fault as reported by the PO that the car would crank but only start in neutral. This has been the case and has functioned that way smoothly up till now...

Stuck in Park - column shift stuck

Sounds like I should remove the key lock cylinder and approach it in there. Looks like pulling hte steering wheel is necessary to pull the ignition lock cylinder, or am I missing something? The back end of the shifter linkage is under the hood by the firewall, and appears to be fine, the...

Stuck in Park - column shift stuck

My 75 Dart with column shift 904 is stuck in Park. Never had a problem, but now the column shifter is really stuck. It feels like the way a steering lock will sometimes be stuck and you have to ease the tension off at the wheel to get it to disengage, but this isn't the wheel, it's the shifter...
