You may (or may not) be aware that that R410a has been "outlawed" (similar to the R-12 -> R134a for vehicles years ago), and it is now illegal to manufacture systems with R410a. Yup. I agree they don't make a helluva lot of sense in our climates, but I still have "connections" with the local Carrier Rep in Mpls, and I was able to buy a scratch and dent, R410a heatpump for our place last summer at a deep discount, so why not? As long as you're aware of the limitations...
