    STR12 edelbrock crossram fitment

my thinking is the carbs are sitting so near the edge of the port outer wall, and relatively low, that raising the lid would allow the air to make the turn easier. If I ever get the dyno up and going I'd like to do some testing on that thing. I believe there is a fair amount of power to be...

340 stroker rebuild needed near Tampa, FL

If you look closely, you will notice all the pictures are not even from the same building, it would be interesting if someone was smart enough to do a reverse image search. But I know for a fact a few of those are from a shop in NC, owned by a good friend of mine.

    STR12 edelbrock crossram fitment

I not sure, like everything, its probably effected by lots of variables, and ultimately dyno testing would be needed to make any real determination. But just guessing, because the STR has straight runners with good length, it COULD make more torque on a stock stroke engine as well, compared to...

    STR12 edelbrock crossram fitment

I dunno, the design of the intake hasnt changed in the last 57 years. Also it could be that intake was designed around 340 cubic inches, so perhaps the 4" stroke might be the biggest difference. All I know is it runs excellent, has tons of low speed torque. It definitely is NOT the high rpm race...

    STR12 edelbrock crossram fitment

I put zero confidence in there suggested rpm range after running one. It definitely makes excellent low end torque on my 408, intact it's much stronger than the M1 and 750 DP that I pulled off. The 4" stroke helps, but the crossram pulls right off idle with zero problem

Mopar 273 Commando projet, Mopar Magnum valves, Stroker sleeper, Mopar 920 heads

I did a set of "302" heads a few years ago for a FABO member, and I did flow them when I was done, but the numbers were quite disappointing, I threw my notes away on those.

Yeah, those spacers came from RAMM racing engines in VA. Excellent shop, I have built a few of those combos, and used those spacers.

    Cam recomendation?(Rough estimate)

For a 4" stroke, pump gas deal, normally dished, theres enough swept volume with the 4" arm that the compression ratio ends up to high with a flat top. Depending on head of course

340 stroker rebuild needed near Tampa, FL

I would just suggest you visit the shop you intend to use, look around, ask questions, and trust your gut. The bigger and fancier there webpage, generally the bigger the level of BS in my experience. If you were local you could stop by and I'd give you a tour. There have been quite a few FABO...

    ATK 408 Short Block

I think that's why it's made that way. Magnum engines have the compressor right up top, it gets the hose up high enough to get to the clamp.

The last FABO member who went that route( southeast) found that Muscle Machining was the one doing his work. I know nothing about that shop personally, so no idea if they do quality work or not.

    ATK 408 Short Block

    That's simply a stock water neck for a magnum 5.2 or 5.9

    Cam recomendation?(Rough estimate)

Doesn't require anything special, on most of the more budget oriented builds, I use ICON pistons a lot.

340 stroker rebuild needed near Tampa, FL

The guy is 70+ years old, hes retired, and he spends his days on the computer lining up jobs and then pays various other shops to actually build them.

None of the equipment in those photos belong to southeast. In fact, there is no such shop. He is a "broker" he uses multiple shops and subs out the work.
