Ok I rebuilt a 904 years ago, still have it unused, that when I went to put it in the dang convertor wouldn't fit the pump drive and I was told that this was because the tranny was a lock up convertor trans and that I'd need a lockup convertor for it. Is this what I would need for that?
I am sorry guys, wasn't able to get to it this weekend. All the daily drivers had issues, so the old man was called in to fix em. I'll try to get this back together this week and start it up and test some stuff from your suggestions.
I just thought about this and the engine is actually a 73 but the car always had electronic voltage regulator in it so I don't think it mattered much. The original engine harness was points and a friend cobbled it to electronic ignition. So when I redid the car I bought a new one and no...
I will take a look at the suggestions and thank you Mattax and Phreakish. Probably won't be until the weekend though. Sorry I didn't give enough info but I've been lucky enough not to have strange electrical issues before so haven't had to ask for help much on this subject.
Allright! Damn! If I'd have known what to put I'd have put it in the question. I was hoping that someone would just say ask me more so I could figure this out. It's a 72 Dart with a repro wiring harness with dual ballast. showing 20 amps charge anything over idle. It's an old alternator and was...
Please read title. Now I find the ignition module and voltage regulator have smoked and eaten paint off of not only, the inner fender well under and around the ignition module, but the hood above it. A little under and around the voltage regulator too. I know I need to replace both but could...
I am building a 340 form my 72 Dart. Originally a /6 I swapped in a 73 k member with the 318. It has spool mounts and am remembering people talking about motor mounts not being the same. So do I need to find different mounts to put the 340 in the car? Thanks
It will fit 70-72 at least, not sure when the extension changed, but that is for sure a 72. It's the only one that has that style marker light looking like this. The 70/71s had inset marker lights like the second picture. They would have to just do some cutting and maybe patching.
Thanks! Not all telling because no history of it, but it is a 67-model year block according to the casting date. 2-9-67. So that should mean the oiling of the shafts and forged crank then. If I do go solid flat tappet, this would make it easier to do I would think.
Ya I saw one near Lansing Michigan. That's 5.5 hours one way for me. I just found a pretty much complete 318 for $100. I might just go that direction. I don't know how much I can sell parts off of the 273 for to recoup some of my money though it does come with a transmission too.
