Hi all and thanks for your help.
I am redoing my 64 Dart from the slant 6 with a 4 speed to a crate 6.4 Hemi and a t56 trans. I don’t have the Hemi yet but want to get a jump on the t56 rebuild if possible. The t56 is from a Viper but needs a rebuild. My question is what will I need to change if anything to get the t56 to bolt up to the Gen 3 Hemi?

The Viper V10 is based on LA small block architecture...

The Gen III Hemi uses the LA small block bell housing pattern...

It should bolt right up....

The Viper V10 has a completely different bellhousing pattern. And different crank flange pattern, too- in case you're wondering about the flywheel.

Uh, no...
That thread is full of misinformation that I won't even get into here- suffice it to say as far as the GIII Hemi and the Viper V10 are concerned, there is no interchange of bellhousings or flywheels. I've had them both (bells and f.wheels) and went down that rabbit hole years ago with my first Hemi swap, based on bad information I was given at the time. And fwiw, the truck V10 doesn't use the same pattern as either the Viper or the G3/LA/Magnum; it uses the same pattern as the Cummins, which uses an SAE pattern, I forget offhand which one...

Thanks all for your input.
Spoke to my fabricator this morning and got more info.
The T56 is from a GTS-R so the torque shouldn’t be an issue. It needs an input shaft among other things, so I want to get the right one for the 6.4 if possible if it is different. I think I have a bell that will work but the input shaft length and spline count are a big question now. Any thoughts?
Thanks again.
