Demon and Dart Sport Scoop Location
To throw another wrinkle into it all, '72 Dart Swinger 340 Specials got them as well (not just the Demons and Dart Sports). Although only 65 were made, period, they are the only Swingers that got them. They were factory installed and functional (as much as ma mopar ever let them breath on A bodies) and as you can see, when the gasket was removed, you can see the EV2 paint on the inside of the holes. There is only one restored example of these cars but of the 9 known to exist (still looking), they all came with the dual snorkel scoop. Here's a few pics of my '72 Swinger 340 Special after I pulled it out of the elements (it's very rough as you can see) but took these pics before it was stripped and bagged, ready for resto. Also, as you can see, there was a 340 badge on the scoop but that wasn't where the factory placed them - if you look down and just behind the hole for the front side markers and in front of the fender well, there are a couple holes where the factory place the 340 emblems. Anyway, just another interesting aspect of this whole Mopar thing we love, live and breath.
