Please continue pondering, stirring the pot and wondering what the heck did the factory do - or not do. Here's another possible one-off that has shown up and I don't know the full story, but here goes. Now, I know this isn't the dual snorkel scoop and hood but it's yet another twist to the scoop saga. This is the fender tag off of Daryl's '71 340 Swinger from the 40 Crosstown Motors batch (Edmonton) and as you can see, HOOD SCOOPS is printed on it. The few cars that got hood scoops had this stamped because most of the Edmonton cars came without. The 25 Crestview Regina cars all came with hood scoops so it wasn't indicated as on any other Mopar but these few (there's only 2 documented) that got the scoops had this from the factory. Has anyone seen this stamped on a tag? As far as I know, all the '72's came with the J54 hood/scoop but non are indicated - on the 4 broadcast sheets of the 7 documented survivors that exist - in the sport hood box.
