    No spark

Or the last $200 you can spend and just be done chasing that entire ignition system. I have never had all that much luck with oem chrysler ignition systems. On the stock-ish mopars I have owned, I leave the oe setup until it strands me the first time. And then I go with a ready to run billet...

At a glance, cloyes, melling, and mahle are all under $50 for a complete set. Pretty simple decision!

Inner fender removal for weight reduction?

I would bet that depends on alot of things, like hood type. I picture it as pushing a piece of plywood down the track (the firewall) I can't imagine it creates a smooth vortex. Just turbulates the air. Like I said, I have only seen removing them, slow people down. When you land on a jet...

Inner fender removal for weight reduction?

Not to mention you turn the engine bay into a parachute! Anyone I know that removed inner fenders has actually slowed down.

No instrument Panel lights (74 Duster)

I was thinking that also. Didn't later mopars have a metal tab over the plastic on the steering column dash mounts that assisted in grounding the column/dash? I feel like my 74, or 75 dodge had that.

    @pittsburghracer gone.

Really sad to hear this. Sounds sudden. What a good guy. I had the pleasure of speaking to him on the phone a few times, and we raced at neighboring tracks. He would come to OH sometimes, and I had been to PRP a few times but never got to meet in person. He was a wealth of knowledge. He will...

    Engine Color Opinions

If you aren't a concourse guy, my thoughts are black matches everything. I have had blue, orange, and red, and eventually they all started to look dingy from either surface rust, or dirt, or stains. Black just wipes off, and is easy to touch up. But I totally get it's not for purists. I also...

    6.1 or 6.4?

The 6.1 is a dinosaur at this point. Uses earlier electronics also. The eagle 5.7 is nearly as good. With a cam swap, it easily beats the 6.1. However 6.4 hands down if you are comparing to 6.1. And the best hemi of all, is of course a BluePrint 426 HEMI :) Chrysler Gen III Hemi Compatible -...

Recommendation For Small Block Re-usable Valve Cover Gaskets?

felpro 1646 are well worth the $44. They are ultra thick with a steel core. I have had a set on my solid roller cam 408 for probably 15 years. I check lash 2/3 times a season. I think i even clearance'd mine a little bit for a super victor intake paired with some thick flange fabricated alum...

Alternator Relocation to avoid frame rail

Pics of water pumps off 2 vvt eagle engines. 2010 is the short one, 2015 is the longer one. Using a straight edge and calipers, I would call it closer to .375 difference looking at the pump mating surface to the serpentine ribs than .480, but that's fairly close to the holley number being...

    Car stalls after Warm

Mechanical fuel pump? loses prime or pressure, but then you can keep it running on the accelerator pump? do you have a fuel pressure gauge on it? I have bought/seen more than 1 bad pump out of the box.

Alternator Relocation to avoid frame rail

Yeah, Thats true. I was thinking more avoiding an A/C system re-charge, but it could honestly just be the same T/C, but have a stubbier balancer, alt, compressor, water pump etc. I do have the old WP off the commander, and one from a 2015+, i'll have to set them next to each other. haven't...

Alternator Relocation to avoid frame rail

Hey Dion, I wanted to comment back on this as you and I bounced some info back and forth on this topic in this thread, and I know you figured this out already, but I did want to confirm your correctness, and denounce my speculation, of a "non VVT spacing....early VVT 2010 engine" in case it...

    Left turn signal issue

May check the front light harness grounds at the radiator support/frame rail area also. I chased a similar issue for years where mine would not light at the front left, but rear blinkers would. By sheer chance, I bumped the harness under hood, while my blinker rod had been Accidentally bumped...

6.4/8hp70 finally up and running and ready

great point on the gearing. The R/T Auto LX cars run 2.65's. and they run mid 13's at 4300 lbs with 380 HP.... this thing should scoot!! I'm curious as to what the converter does with 800 less lbs...but lots of guys just pullout swap these w/o re-stalling, so curious as to what he reports...

6.4/8hp70 finally up and running and ready

8HP's are 100% electronic shift. No mechanical linkage at all. They even have a rip chord to get them into neutral because if the battery ever dies, there is no way to move them. Agree, curious as to how he is shifting. The Sound german trans controller is really the only mainstream one I'm...
