Nicks Garage, 572 HEMI, Here we go....

You could be right but it don't make any sense to me, but who knows people do a lot of stupid **** for stupid reasons.

Nicks Garage, 572 HEMI, Here we go....

I could see that, just can't see him blowing it up for youtube or even so he could get the work (rebuild) but yes he was obviously being careless with buddies engine though.

Nicks Garage, 572 HEMI, Here we go....

I'm just arguing against this Idea that people have that it was obviously done for the clicks and youtube dollars, not saying Nick ain't an idiot and wasn't reckless with buddies motor, he obviously is and was.

Can't be good for business blowing up customers engine, even ones you didn't build and aren't responsible for.

Nicks Garage, 572 HEMI, Here we go....

Would you let someone dyno your engine if their willing the blow it up for a 111k in views and $500 ? (That probably has to pay someone to film and edit from the big youtube pay day ). I'm pretty sure that wasn't going through his mind as he dyno it, seems like a very poor business strategy. The...

Here's a channel I like, the dude been doing it for over 5 years, 300+ videos ( a lot of extra work ) and got under a 1,000 subscribers so can't make any money, if it was all about clicks and money there would be a lot less channels. MONSTERS MARSH

Nicks Garage, 572 HEMI, Here we go....

I'm sure it wasn't to blow up a Hemi for a 111K views and $500 or so dollars, probably wanted to share what he what he does/thinks, same with people on here, community. Just on youtube if enough people are interested in what you say and do you can make a few extra bucks, very few are pulling in...

Never been a fan of Nick's, very boring I just don’t agree with it’s all for the clicks and money.

Nicks Garage, 572 HEMI, Here we go....

Fair enough, but he's just getting enough viewership to make a little extra money filming what he would normally be doing. People act like these guy's are pulling in millions, which there is channels out there doing that (one's doing millions of views per video) but not the one's were generally...

I love how the dude play's victim, starts 318 threads, brings back 318 threads from the dead, brings up 318's in non 318 threads etc... strawman's everyone's points then when people reply all a sudden he's being unfairly attack by the UTG's brainwashed 318 followers, the dude is delusional.

Problem is most think there's one preferred powerband type and obviously a 273 powerband suits you and your driving style, you might be an minority or who knows more might enjoy similar if they had a chance :)

    Low Quality W5 Heads

So it's mainly on the gasket surfacers that's the problem ?

    Low Quality W5 Heads

Just curious I get what porosity is, but exactly does do to the head ? Leaks ? brittle ? chucks fall off ? poor surface in the ports ?

    Rod length & stroke question

All stock Mopar V8's already have great rod ratio's, if stroking which you said your probably not, does lower the ratio, would be worth while ($$$/hp) to correct ? probably not especially on a sub 8000 rpm engine.

    another 318 hop up

All factory 2.02 heads are 340, 360 only had 1.88.
  20. 273

    another 318 hop up

Stock 1.88 valve 360 heads are good for 350-375 hp with reasonable cam and cr, eg.. a comp xe268h and 9:1 should = about 350 hp with the rest of the combo being a match. If wanting more power especially while keeping cam mild some head work will be needed, it all depends what your after.

    367 vs 410 Engines Masters

All depends what you want ( where you want the powerband to live) I could see a stroker with ported j heads, to me displacement is more of an rpm & gearing thing (less & higher for similar performance) than a performance mod.

I showed a 500 hp 307 build in this thread, same bore as a 283 and wasn't too fancy pretty much what you would do making 500 hp with any other engine and size, just had too spin it up too 7,400 rpm.

    318 threads

    Shouldn't need to, say you squeeze 550 hp and make around 1.25 lbs-ft per cid and 90% of that torque at peak hp. 408 x 1.25 x 90% = 459 lbs-ft @ peak hp 426 x 1.25 x 90% = 479 lbs-ft @ peak hp 550 hp x 5252 / tq @ peak hp = peak hp rpm 408 = 550 hp @ 6,300 rpm and 510 lbs-ft @ 4300-5300 rpm...

Most are running a 2.02 valve or less, a 318 bore is more than capable, is it costing you a few hp, more than likely but under 500 hp I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. And if rebuilding with a .030-.060" overbore your so close to being basically 4". If people really cared about bore size they...
