What’s required to make an N/A carb work on say a 671 blower?

Was just curious as to what’s involved in converting say a 750dp to work on a 671? I realize it requires more fuel, but what physical changes are required? I’m not considering doing anything of the sort, just curious.

    Lokar trans cable issue

For those folks using a Lokar tv cable. What is your distance from throttle shaft pivot and the cable mount on the carb in relation to the accelerator mount to the throttle shaft pivot. I’ve been fighting early shifts after following the instructions for adjusting the cable. I will note that I...

    Torco and AFR

I added one quart of Torco fuel additive to approx 12 gallons of 91 California E10 swill. Without making any other changes or adjustments I’ve noticed my AFR’s down about 1-1.5 points at idle and at low speed cruise (still in the transition I’m sure). Is this a condition of a higher octane...

    Tires make a HUGE difference!

So I put a pair of 275/60 15 M/T E.T. Street R’s on 10” rims. Formerly had 275/60 15 Cooper Cobra’s on 8” rims. Went out and did a couple of 1/8th mile pulls. Absolutely 0 spinning, with no burnout! Picked up .31 seconds from my previous best. Check out the Dragy. Can’t wait for my first...

    Stealth head install.

Just got the Stealth heads on and got it fired up. Left the timing and carbs alone. She wouldn’t idle, So I adjusted the idle speed up and fattened her up a smidge. She’s sounding real good. I’ll put another heat cycle on it then re-torque the heads. Wasn’t expecting to have to play with...

[FOR SALE] Big block 915 heads (NOR CAL)

I have a pair of big block 915 heads. Came off of my running motor. Nothing wrong with them other than one broken keeper from when I pulled the valves, out, and didn’t number or put them back in the holes the came from. Will come with brand new springs from 440 source for a .510 lift cam...

    Valve spring installed height

Ok folks, I just picked up a set of Stealth heads from 440 source. My first go around with aluminum heads. I’m preparing to install my springs and they call for 1.90” +/- .020 installed height. After measuring one head I’m getting variances from 1.860”-1.878” Now by my calculations they all...

    Viton vs Teflon valve seals

Reason for asking is, the 440 source site sells reduced diameter Teflon valve seals in double valve spring applications. Quick web search has a bunch of horror stories on installing these seals. I personally have only installed Viton and had zero problems. Curious to the general consensus of...

    A little bench racing

I want to pose a question. Based on the Draggy info below, if I was to put D.O.T. drag radials on the car instead of the Cooper Cobras how much improvement might I expect in my 60’, 1/8, and 1/4 mile times?

Annular boosters on a Tunnel Ram

Well Christmas came early here. Bit the bullet and picked up a pair of Proform main bodies with annular boosters for my tunnel ram. Looking forward to working through the retuning/learning process on these. Stay tuned, I’ll post updates as I move forward this winter.

Brake options, Where would you start?

Good morning folks. The car: 71 Duster, 440 w/tunnel ram and 2 4bbl's. 727, Dana 60, 3' drop axle in front. Yes a gasser inspired build. It has manual 11" GM style brakes up front (GM metric calipers D154 pads) and 11x2.5" drums in the rear. I'll list the parts I have on the shelf to work...

    Odd master cylinder/braking issues

This is a first for me. The car sat for a few weeks due to having stupid hot weather. Got in it to take a cruise and the brake pedal felt a little soft. Not mushy really but just a little soft. It stopped fine, didn’t feel any different in braking power or effort so I just wrote it off to not...

    Carb/timing procedure

Let me preface this with, I DO NOT have any problems or issues with my car at this point. This is just a general question on what your process is. Plug reading useless

I saw a statement on a different forum that said: Something to keep in mind....If you're trying to read spark plugs, you're pissing up a rope. Contrary to popular beliefs and arguments, you can have plugs that "look good" from a couple of cylinders with one happy and the other ready to eat...

    Tunnel Ram Tune

Hey folks, just going to throw this out there. Posted on a different forum and thought why not here too. I'm looking for some direction in a lean condition at cruise. I suspect it is related to the transition between the end of the transition slots and the beginning of the mains coming on. I...
