I'm in the same place, can not pay a shop to do all of the work. Thats why I want to paint the door jambs and engine bay myself. And when it does go to a shop some of the steps will be taken care of.
I want to do some painting (door jams, engine bay ets) just for my stuff...not for daily work. What Respirators are you guys using to spray single stage Urethane and or Base Coat Clear Coat ? What do you feel safe with for occassion use ? I will be painting in 2 car garage, with fans pulling...
If the numbers are correct yes. Being a slant six trans does the valve body have a small Aluninium cover (on side of VB ) held on wth 3 screws ? Would need shipped to 44216.
Looking for a stock unmodified 727-904 Valve Body...All I really need is the upper half with all the stock valves. Would need to see pictures with date code markings. Thanks
Is it shifted with an internal cable system ?.. I also had a 64 dodge A100 pickup that had a cable operated 727 ( thing is the cable operated external shift lever) the A100 did not have a parking brake on the trans.
I have thought about that..just unsure how you would do it. Part of the problem is that the cable system uses 2 cables. One for gear selection, the other for park. About the only way to do it would be by using the Ebrake for park :(..sound bad. But for those old enough the early push button 2...
I bought an A500 out of a 94-95 V6 Dakota. At some point I would like to install it into my 1962 Plymouth Fury station wagon (318 poly engine and A727 trans ) . the big issue is that the 62 Plymouth has the pushbutton gear selector system ( which I want to keep) . A&A transmissions has a...
The yoke you purchased...does it use the 7/8 inner circle type ujoint retainer clips ( regular mopar style)...or the full circle outter GM style ujoint retainer clips
I ask if there was a slip yoke spline difference between 727 and the 500/518 ....no replys . I read this a while back. Maybe it was incorrect, not sure. So what have you guys been using (that has not created any problems) for the driveshaft slip yoke ??
As for the driveshaft slip yoke, I've read that "there is a difference" and that a 727 yoke fits...But not correctly. And that the 500/518 yoke should be used. Any input about this ??
Thanks, I don't plan on covering every SQ IN of surfaces (maybe 50-60 % ) firewall, floor, roof, doors, the wagon has alot of surface area and would get costly fast. Did it lower the road noise in your car ?
My interior is out of my 62 Plymouth right now. Have been thinking of using Kilmat also. Did you notice any smell/odor from the kilmat, also did it help any with reducing interior temperature >
Found two 15" Rallye wheels that I forgot about. Can anyone tell me what width the 15" Rallyes wheels were from the factory...I think that they are the large bolt pattern. Thanks
Can a Saginaw (canned Ham ) PS pump be used on an early 318 with cast iron WP (pre 1970) since the pulley alignment changed with the later LA 318 engines. What brackets would be needed ? Just looking for some information. Thanks
Yeah I've heard that before , that the color was not used on production cars....but MM1 was a close a you could get. Thanks, Thinking of painting my 62 Plymouth wagon that color. Want to two tone, just not sure what color to do the roof. Don't want to do the roof black...we'll see .
So did...
