Slip yoke will not slip on...

If your output shaft is in fact bent, the problem still exists. Have you verified that your shaft is straight? LOL

I think my transmission is going out.

Do you have one of these “Line Pressure Boosters”? I had one fail and that resulted in the trans “hunting” for gears, slipping and erratic shifts. No trouble codes were thrown making diagnosis tricky. Perhaps return the PCM to stock programming and see if the problem goes away.

I think my transmission is going out.

Have you reset the PCM? I have an 07 Ram with the 5.7 and 545RFE. The factory exhaust Y-Pipe developed a crack causing a CEL. Apparently the O2 sensor was throwing a code in which case, I had the same symptoms as you (slipping transmission and surging engine). With that said, is there any...

    Turbo Action Shift Bracket?

https://www.turboaction.com/70011 3-07.pdf There’s conflicting information on TurboActions website. I run a TA shifter and must use the provided shift lever to keep the “detents” correct. And here’s the conflicting information.

8 3/4 rear end LSD identification

Yeah the MP Sure Grips use 5 springs. Check out the OP’s pics, there’s 3 springs together and 2 springs on the other side.

8 3/4 rear end LSD identification

The Mopar Performance LSD’s have the same “round” viewing port and additional springs (like in the OP’s pic) over a factory stock sure grip. The OP has a cone type Sure Grip

What would cause my barely used green bearing to do this?

In my experience the 1st Gen bearings didn’t last me long, probably around 1 year of use. I did remove the thrust block and the install was done correctly, including the pressing on of the bearings. Replacing the defective 1st Gen Bearing to the 2nd Gen bearing has lasted me over 20 years. As...

What would cause my barely used green bearing to do this?

Unfortunately, the original Mopar Green wheel bearing design has 2 problems. First generation (RP-400) Green bearings, still sold by Mopar Performance and others, are problematic because the crimped-on flange will not allow the bearing to wiggle around inside a housing that is not perfectly...

What would cause my barely used green bearing to do this?

From Dr Diff’s website, First generation (RP-400) Green bearings, still sold by Mopar Performance and others, are problematic because the crimped-on flange will not allow the bearing to wiggle around inside a housing that is not perfectly straight (none are). The OP has the 1st generation...

HELP *Turbo Action Shifter Cable Adjustment*

I know you said you’re using the same shifter, transmission as you’ve done in the past but are you sure you’re using the correct TurboAction supplied lever? I’m having a hard time getting on TA’s website but they do have a great tech and part instruction section. Turbo Action Racing and...

    8 3/4 mini spool

True story..... I installed a mini spool into a factory cone style sure grip unit over 20 years ago.... I believe I machined 1/8” off of the cones(the side where the spring plate is) and the mini spool fit. I might have machined the cones for the mini spools axle splines to be “located” too...

    Cheetah troubles

I had to file the "gate" on my Cheetah shifter. I could not get the NSS switch to engauge in the "park" position, so I filed the gate itself to allow for a longer "throw" into "park" position.

Will launching in second gear hurt my 727 trans?

No, i did it plenty of times. I do 2nd gear burnouts and roll up to the line in 2 nd gear and nail it. 60' times went from 2.25 launching in 1st, to 1.7 launching in 2 nd. Bad track prep, lol. I was foot braking it at 2000 rpm and running 6 psi of boost, nothing broke.

    No 2nd gear

X2 also check the kick down lever. I had a 5.0 lever break causing no 2nd gear. If this is the case the trans must be removed as the lever is held in with a pin thats behind the tq conv.

    driveshaft questions

727 trans in longer than a 904 and the 8 3/4 has a longer yoke to axle centerline. So you will need a shorter driveshaft.
