One of the volunteers from NY state would bring a slab - forget what the cut was called. We put fat on the barrels. My thinking was something is better than nothing as they were starting to show rust on the inside after 10 years of neglect. Hate to think what they look like now 20 years later...

Not sure what you mean. It looks like a single action with side gate loading like Single Action Army etc. There is nothing 'simple' about a revolver mechanism that I've seen so far. Insides are always a bit of clockwork. On the other hand (pun not intended) if it locks up on 2 of the six...

They have a repair center? Does it have 'ratchet' on the rear face that need reshaping? Sounded like Willy knows at least a bit about how they work.

They're pretty and they are strong. But when I found out how much they weighed I stopped lookin! There have been some all aluminum versions made - thought they were forged. or maybe those were Torque Thrusts Cant remember

Stop in for a cup of coffee

maybe dumb question. What's the story on those Cragers? I thought they were cast aluminum center rivetted to steel rims. These look to be welded so either are all steel or all aluminum.

Who knows. I recall a "this road not maintained, proceed at your own risk" sign back in the mid 1980s. There's many penny pinching measures throughout the parks, but more so in ones like the Del Water Gap NRA which kindof are dropped on the NPS to deal with. You should see what most of the...

It was good while it lasted. I haven't been back up there since 2018. Don't know if the road is even open. The switchback on the other side of the ridge had already been abandoned. Supposed to be maintained sufficent for wildfire response. You can be the judge.

I still don't know how his car was wired. I do think it had an optional higher output wiring setup. Love it when people don't provide the pics asked for.
