Has anyone had any problems installing this TCI trans shield.

Anytime you add something made for racing to a factory car (especially floor related) modification is required. Since Dusters never came with a big block everything is modified. Did you actually have a fit issue or are you just over thinking what others wrote?

    Friggin thieves

Crap! I went to drug users and thieves. I guess I owe them an apology. LMAO! Glad you found them.

    Friggin thieves

1: battery operated hand grinder with a thin wheel cuts thru a lot. Sorry to tell you only locks keep honest people - honest. 2) crack heads do more damage then I care to mention. May had been just a thief but I see lots of complaints of stolen stuff the last 3.5years. Make drugs legal they say…...

    Transmission cooler for drag racing

Ooof! That is running it hot. If you really like your transmission- a plate cooler is good but a fan driven cooler is better. Derail makes really nice stuff but expensive.

    Penn Grade (Brad Penn) oil

I get it. I have my brand for the cars also. Just an avenue to mention the deals for lawn mower oil - most oils starts at $8 per quart and lawnmowers seem to like it - a lot. I’m too cheap to buy a new mower. lol!

    Penn Grade (Brad Penn) oil

Not bad. I was at advanced auto last night and in their clearance section I found their brand oil different viscosity for $4.29 per quart. Great for the lawn mower and such. I bought it all (20 quarts of 30w, 10w30/40 20w50) Deals can be had - you just have to look.

Tighten the nuts till snug by hand and back off 1/8 turn. And “yes” I grease my own nuts. LMAO! Take it how you like.

    Dimpled Pistons?

Back in the 90’s GM experimented with what looked likes BB’s impregnated into the top of the pistons for the same effect. But found square cubes of the same size worked better but over short time the corners melted off and negated the effect. I did not understand how those corners did not cause...

Is Bradenton Fl. going to get closed down by subdivision?

That’s not the full story. The kids did not want to take over the track when the parents got older. It was a staging yard for new cars for a while. Funny they spent all that money on going full on NHRA big events and then it died off. Cut my teeth at Englishtown.

One from the past. Brown Sugar

What the heck was going on? I’ve never raced at a track that allowed that many people on the tar when a race was going down. Sad to see that car wreck. Hope the driver was okay.

Appreciate some input on spark plug reading

He is another piece- take it or leave it. Not sure of the temps in FLA (lucky b you) but because they don’t deal with snow like we do- tracks run year round. But temps are cooler and air is more dense. My cars here in CT are still dealing with much cooler air than in summer. I leave alone and...

Sounds like new drag racing, donut circuses fines going up.

And honestly taking away their licenses? Like they have one to begin with. They steal the cars and blow them up and walk away. Stupid kids use their own cars.

Another one for sale Not Mine

I gotcha. I too only have street cars now and hate sitting at car shows like “the regulars.” I walk around a few trips and off I go. But for some people, that is their only place they get to “hang out.” Sweet Duster. I wish I was closer to the track and I’d have a company owned car myself.

Another one for sale Not Mine

    Compression

That is a totally open ended question: I can change my lawnmower compression from 9.5 to 11.5 and it will go from 3hp to 3.2hp. But in a 440 bored .040” it could change 350hp to 500hp. More info needed!!!

Trailering to a race in freezing temperatures

Drain it if you are that worried. Inclosed trailer will maintain some heat but freezing is an issue. We in New England are dealing with 10f right now. If antifreeze is good it’s good to -34 typically. If you are running straight water then drain it.

Let’s face it, Ford and Chevy are also big sponsors. You cannot let them loose at their own events. Some day they will catch up.

    Thermoquad float selection help

Anyone else going through trailer tires this summer?

I’ve had many blow outs and found under inflated and over speed is what kills tires. Age is really important. Drive them around at least once a month and keep them covered when not in use really helps.Hard to keep from heating up when it’s been a real summer. I switched to E ply tires where I...
