Not wanting to jack this thread, but, I believe the 587's never came with 2.02" intake valves. Used on the 340/360 engines from '73 and up, had 1.88" intake valves.

Can you measure the length of the viscious fan and clutch assembly? I only have about 4.5" of space between water pump pulley and the radiator, and I'm in desperate need of one of these "short" versions. If ist is the "short" version, I'll buy it.

Can you measure the overall lenght? I've got a real need for one of these but the lenght is an issue. With my aluminum rad. in place, I only have about 4.0 inches from water pump pulley to rad., and about 1.5 inches from fan adaptor to rad. Thanks.

A few years back I bought a '73 340 cast crank, std. bore, that needed 2 sleeves and a reconditioned crank for 200 bucks. Hope this helps.........
