The little 65' Valiant V-100 with the 273/180 HP could do a number in Stock Class.

1965 = H/SA (15.00 - 15. 59 Wt/HP)

These cars fit perfectly into the H/SA Class, as they weighed in at #2712 lbs. = (15.06 Wt/Hp)

Nice!
Checkout those glasspacks hanging off the bottom!

Equipped with the 7 1/4" Rear, and 3.91 Gears.

1965 NHRA H/SA Class Record................15.02 @ 90.66 MPH

Very cool picture cuda440.Here is my 65 decked out with oldschool H stock sticker before heading to test in tune this October. Drove 40 miles to track,removed front hubcaps & ran a best of 10.02 in 1/8 mile (would be a 15.5 to 15.7 second quarter time) & had a blast. Mine has 3.23 gears & basically stock 273 commando.

Very Sharp Old School,

The Hardtop Signet,,,,,,,,you're big time with the up-scale model.

15.60's with 3.23 Gears, sounds like you have that 273 tuned perfectly.

Thanks. Love the 64 to 66 valiants & darts and we are fortunate to have a large contingent of them in tidewater,va. Folks do not realize how light they are & easy to make fast. Had a machinist friend port/hog out original exhaust manifolds when heads were redone a couple of years ago to basically early Dodge Dakota specs. Helped her little 273 out tremendously.

I really love these cars.I've always wanted one with a for speed.Hell I've even entertained thoughts of trading my 67 rag top for one.

Here's a 1965 Valiant V-200, with a true 273/235 HP Commando

In 1965, these light cars were classed in D/SA.

This one from my area, Dover Drag Strip - Wingdale, NewYork

These Valiants can get up and move, even with just a few modes:happy1:
bigger exhaust, intake and a 390 cfm DP Holley, I can pull off a 11.27 1/8 mile pass :burnout:
With spare and jack in the trunk and full interior and a standard 3 on the tree.
I have put my 66 sedan on 3 scales and it (if I remember right) is 2.7?? lbs.
Yea :coffee2: I am in love with my Valiant Victoria V100 :happy2:

Here are a few cool ones :glasses7:

Question....was the grille blacked out after the car was built or is that factory? It looks cool, not sure if I seen one like that before.

My 100 2 door sedan - no carpets- rubber mats, taxi cab seats- ran F/S with the Commando- that was in 1966- maybe the class changed

GIB,

The 1965 V-100 or V-200 with the 273/235 HP

#2712 lbs ~ 235 HP = 11.54 Wt/HP

1965 = D/S
1966 = E/S
1967 = D/S
1968 = H/S
1969 = I/S
1970 = I/S
1971 = I/S
1972 = SS/L

We helped put one together in 1969 for I/S. Didn't win in Stock Eliminator, but captured about 20 Class Trophy wins for 1969.

I have the Mopar NHRA book.

My grandfather, Larry Axelrod, owned this Valiant! Any chance you have any other information on it? I am ecstatic to be able to show him these photos and would love to see anything else you guys can dig up on "Prince Valiant". The car won the Nascar Drag Invitational in 1966 in Daytona, Florida.
