FORD. LOL

Impressive, but probably cost prohibitive for any practical use unless the factory get's behind it. Than you might see "bargain' prices around $25K.

Ford has been the only other viable PRODUCTION V8 Hemi in this country. GM did assemble a Hemi based on an Olds, engine, but never went anywhere with it, and, of course Aries has Hemi heads for Chevy big blocks that have been dragging racing for nearly 3 decades, now.

Mickey Thompson had Hemi heads for the Pontiac. Don't forget the Ford 427 SOHC, too. That was actually TWO Hemis from Ford including the Boss 429.

Yeah, I remember those, too. the fit 389 and 421's as I recall. But, like Aries, and others, they weren't "production" (factory) models. They were after market. MoPar and Ford were the only two with "production" hemi V8's. .

Yes, they are what I was talking about. Like I said, Ford made the only other viable PRODUCTION Hemi engine.

you can get a mopar 528 c.i. hemi (10.5:1 pump gas, complete from carb to oilpan) from ray barton's for 20k

i dont see how 25k for somethin else would be a bargain

Nobody said it was a bargain. Frank said "bargain" being sarcastic.

That's not how I meant it. Sometimes it's necessary to read between the lines.

btw, ....I don't see $20K for a 528 as a "bargain", either.

When I purchased my NEW 1968 Hemi Roadrunner, the Hemi option was $800.00, and I purchased a machined 392 Hemi, set up for a 6/71 blower for $150.00 for everything except the blower, blower drive, and intake manifold. THOSE were BARGAINS.

I'm not a racer any longer, and $20K-25K for a street engine is just ridiculous in my humble opinion.

Yes it is, even if it's a Hemi. I think 10K is stupid high for most any type of wedge motor, especially a non stroker.

LS Hemi heads are available...not taking nuttin form the 2G HEMI but this Windsor is a powerful little motor....and different....

Yeah, that's why I like it.

I wasn't expecting those numbers! I like it!
