I inadvertently found a way to remove the gold finish off a Milodon oil pan and I wanted to share.
I recently bought a pan with a little bit of corrosion.
So I decided to fill it with Evaporust, leave it on a radiator, and come back to it in a couple days.
This is what it looked like after i emptied the Evaporust:
And this is what it looked like after I wiped it down:
Apparently the chelation takes the gold looking coating off. This is a lot easier than sanding a pan to paint it. So I figured i would share.
