part# 78500 and they're short tubes. There is a member here running them on a twin turbo(!) Dart setup he's building that's badass if I must say so myself... but I digress. In one of the pics it looks like it clears the steering gearbox pretty good. If so at less than $300 this should offer another option to the $800+ TTI's that you have to use to get good ground clearance. I "searched" here for this particular part and couldn't find it so I was just wondering if it has been covered or am I wishing on the unusable? 8)

Forgive me in advance, the pictures shown are from the "Forced Induction" forum here and are of Mad Dart's car (which is gonna be SICK!!!)... My disclaimer! these pics are of another members car and I hope I don't get yelled at for using them in another forum, if so I promise I'll do 3 Hail Mary's and go to bed without Ice Cream!

They have em ceramic coated too for around $500.I might think about a set after I break in My new engine wonder how much HP or Tq. it would lose . Not that I'm all that concerned,My car was always being built with the idea of just being a fun car to drive on the weekends never intended on doing any racing.

You are forgiven.

One thing I would recommend is to throw the reducers in the trash and not use them. The header flanges are 2.5" and the Reducers in the box choke it down to 1 7/8" so be sure not to use them. The flanges that are in the box are fine you would just need to weld them onto your new 2.5" Down pipes and you could even step it up to a 3" right there if you wanted to.

any modification required to get them to fit??

so Louis, did these things just recently come out??? I am for sure interested in a set for my 68 cuda, 318. manual steering..so they DO in fact clear the steering box, unlike the other shorty headers?

Yes they drop right in with no modifications at all!
Just throw the reducers in the trash and make your own downpipes.

subscribed... I want a set Shorty headers that dont look like to much of a pita

Sweet! An alternative to TTIs. They probably flow good too if they can power twin turbos.

I wouldn't call those an alternative to TTI'S ,those are short tubes TTI'S are long tubes...

I meant in clearance levels and simplicity of install. Not in that way. I understood that already. Obviously they aren't gonna make all the horses or flow just as good as a long tube header. Also, I dont have infinately deep pockets like some may have so I can't afford TTIs.

I'm locked-step with you on that one. At my HP level I can't see dumping $800 plus for headers. I'm guessing I'm around the 300 - 320 range so these will do me fine.

Mad Dart I have a question, what starter are you using? I'm using the one that came with my engine (1988 roller 318) and its small compared to the one that's on my older Mopars by far.

I use a mini starter

They look like a great choice for a street car . I'll give up 10 hp if they drop nin with no steering take apart and no having to lift the motor .
Now the starter will have to be changed , is that 100% sure ? The regular starter get in the way ? So they are close in price to Tti cause the mini started is a couple hundred .
This is so close to being perfect , wish they could design it to work with regular starter

Yep! Mini starter required. With both TTI and these. So either way, you gotta go mini starter.
